Mono is a averagely built woman in her early 20’s, standing at 5’5 and is depicted with having short, puffy hair that’s colored dark gray. In her first appearance, she appeared with a gray hoodie, dark gray striped pants, black and white tap shoes, and a black fedora with a white band around it. In her younger years, though, she had dark brown, wavy hair. She wore dark purple lingerie, accompanied with a set of tights, black boots. This was all covered with a full body sized cloak.

her psychological state

Mono, however, has four other personalities, due to losing her soul in a bet to a mysterious figure. Not only did she lose her own soul, she also had four other souls placed in her body. Medical professionals assume she has a severe personality disorder or even more, however, Mono doesn’t have any psychological issues. She does have a irrational need for having a firearm with her, i.e, being a pistol. Even though she isn’t aware of it, she also has the ability to manipulate metal objects.

the other souls

Dubbing these other beings as “phases”, Mono’s physical build can be altered when the other souls take turns controlling the body they all share. Although the original Mono is the main of this body, the other souls tend to take over. The original Mono does gradually learn to keep the other souls in line, letting them take control at will.

phase 2

Phase 2 is the first alternative, and most troublesome, soul to control. She is depicted having long, natural red hair and dressed in a blue Victorian dress. Although she wasn’t always this way, without the consent of anyone, she took control of the body and married a demon, who was the mysterious figure who took the original Mono’s soul. She then made the other souls and herself became the queen of an underworld realm. The other souls were outraged by this and had decided to never give Phase 2 a turn to control the body.

Phase 3 is the second alternative soul. She is shown having short, natural red hair, parted into a set of bangs and two short pigtails. She is also shown wearing a sleeveless, purple turtleneck, dark purple oversized arm sleeves, a lavender wrap skirt, and light purple boots that allow her to levitate at her will. She also has the ability to manipulate fire. Although she doesn’t have much of a past, she does appear as an “alien”

phase 4

Phase 4 is the third alternative soul. Like the previous two phases, her hair is a natural red and is at shoulder length. She is dressed in a black tank top, blue jeans, and red converse shoes. She also has an unusual hunger for human and animal meat and therefore attacks humans and wild animals on a daily basis. Her past is unknown, as all she says come out as a bunch of incoherent noises.

Phase 5 is the fourth and last alternative soul. She is shown with short, puffy hair that is dark gray. She dresses in a gray tank top, dark gray jeans, and short, black boots. She also always has a white bandage in the same spot. She doesn’t really like anyone, which could be caused by her snobbiness and hatred towards men. Men have almost always taken advantage of her, only pretending to love her just so they could get their way. This hatred towards men has made her life difficult, even before being trapped.
