Backstory

Ness was a boy born into an elite family of scientists, who only like things if they can be proven, but he got into this fictional book about fantasizes and found his love for magic. His family hated magic, so this was a problem. They tried to convince him to stop believing in it because it was just pure nonsense, but his desire for it got stronger. One day as a young child, he decided to pretend to be a mage building a snowman and making a symbol outside. After doing that, he began to chant a spell. His family found out and destroyed his snowman leaving him in tears. (Why couldn't they just let a little kid be a little kid? It's not like he was trying to summon the devil.)

One day, he saw a soccer match from a stadium and began to think of it as magic, so he decided he wanted to perform this magic himself. After some time, he tries out for the Bastard München team where he meets Kaiser and accepts his offer. Those two get closer as time permits, and Ness seems to have grown obsessed with him, remaining loyal no matter what.

Sadly, in the Neo-Egoist League, Kaiser has told Ness to go find a new king to serve. Of course, he doesn't take this very well because Kaiser is the only king he wants to serve. He didn’t care if he had become useless; he just wanted to serve him no matter what. (I would say that he may have a little one-sided crush on Kaiser.)
