Hello everyone

One week ago we posted a

'Feature Feed Form'

to collect information on what s would like to see more or less of on the featured feed of ARA.

Below are the results.

Feature is as much for the community as it is for the ARA team. If there is something you want to see more of on the front page, please write a blog about it and nominate it. We want to feature more interesting and unique content, but we can't when it isn't being written and nominated.

Q&A Responses

I just wanna start the Q&A by saying no one on the team was made or forced to answer questions. Everyone who participated, participated because they were comfortable doing so. So if there aren't answers to every question from every team member don't be upset with them, since they were given a choice if they wanted to participate or not depending on how comfortable they were answering questions. Some people are comfortable participating in things like this and some are not, so please be understanding.

Some of the questions will only have one response, because these questions only required one response. If everyone on the team answered those questions individually you'd have the same answer repeated multiple times.

Some community asked the same question more than once so those questions will be grouped together and then the answers from the team will come after.

Q. Do you have any plans that will hopefully fix the number of active s? (I'm aware that Amino Updates are the main cause)

We are already inviting s to create content, there is so much the team can do, in my opinion. We are also of this community, creating content, but we cannot force s to be active. For me, the decrease is also linked to BTS’ activity - when something major happens with BTS, more s are online. - Jeonji

I think that creating more interactive posts and blogs can help. The fact that amino uses so many updates, it could decrease the amount of s. The plan for me is to become more active and to post more, being an active person in the community. It's helpful when the leaders use the notifications to tell about news and great blogs. Overall, there is a lot of things that can be done to increase activity. - Jiminverse

I think that when there is a BTS comeback, more s will come back on and create content based off of new releases and news. It is just a busy time of year for everyone, and it is becoming harder to find time in the day to go on amino. We can’t beg s to go online more than they already do, however I believe the number of s online will increase in a couple of months based on the time of the year and a possible comeback. - TaeKookism

It is what is. I mean, we have challenges and events for the community and in a way it’s up to the on whether or not they want to take part. I try to create my own special blogs as well. But in my opinion, I think we are most active when BTS is as well. Where be major news or comeback. - FruityTae

There are regular challenges and events but it depends on the if they want to take part or not. The are always free to create more blogs and contents. In my opinion, the activity rate will surely go higher once BTS does a comeback or more news comes related to them - MinMin

I think it's not only the amino updates but the activity of bts can be an impact on the problem as well…. I guess when the comeback time arrives there will be more s online.. Also having school, work and stuff have made the s become a bit busier too I guess… WeWe always invite and encourage people to share their talents through their blogs by introducing challenges, ice breakers, events etc. But we can't force anyone so it's their decision… I myself have plans on being more active as a blogger and contributing myself to help the community become more active and I hope that people will start being active more along with the time - Taemi

We always try to create activity and events for to participate, but we can't force to make a post same goes for regular bloggers. Activity of ara definitely depends on blogging but as i said we can't force bloggers to be active.The activity also depends on BTS activeness, as soon BTS comeback is near the activity of ara increases - Zaini

I definitely think that one big reason for the decrease of active is that Bts didn’t have a comeback in a longer time. Through comebacks and more activity of them, ara will also gain more activity. Besides that the team already tries to do activities in which all s can participate. Challenges and events give people more motivation to make blogs, which plays a big part in the activity of the community.

Me as a curator but also a blogger can say that I will try to make more blogs in the future that people can enjoy, because this is what the community is about TO SEE GREAT CONTENT OF OUR BOYS - TaeRa

Throughout the year we have added several different new weekly activities, challenges, and events for the community to participate in to try and help increase the amount of activity in the community. But the level of activeness on this app isn't something we can exactly fix, it depends alot on the 's themselves wanting to or having the time to be active. I think it also reflects on the level of interest s have in Amino itself nowadays. - GeekMonkey

It also depends on s, I think we did well in adding new stuff like weekly activities. We have no power over s when it comes to being active and creating content. I think BTS being active with a comeback helps with activity - Hobi

Q. Is there a pattern in which blogs get featured, like if you start down the list and go back up? (E.g Fanart > Discussion > Edits > Covers > etc.)

There isn’t a clearly set pattern, but we give our best to feature blogs of different kind and not ones of the same kind right after another. - Jeonji

Well, we usually go by the feature . So, depending on the results(please put in your as well) the front page can differ. There really is no set pattern but we like to spread things out - Jiminverse

The team tries to feature blogs based on what s prefer in the featured . Other than that, there is no pattern, however we will never feature two of the same blogs in a row, for example: never 2 fanarts or 2 covers next to each other. - TaeKookism

We try not to feature the same back to back. Fanart is the most popular, so you probably see a lot of them. But the rest it depends on what we kinda think what the ’s themselves would like to see in there - FruityTae

We try not to repeat the same type of blog repeatedly. There's no official patterns but we follow your opinion in feature form also. So it depends on that too - MinMin

we feature blogs according to the preferences given by the s in the feature forms. Also we don't repeat the same type of blogs continuously so that we can maintain a variety of blogs in the feature page other than that there is no any pattern - Taemi

There is not sequence we just try to featured with different categories and different content - Zaini

No we DO NOT have a pattern! We try to feature a diversity of different blogs. A huge role also plays what blogs are nominated and how good the quality of the nominated blogs are. We look at the feature and see what people want to see on the feature page as well - TaeRa

We tend to look at the feature to see what most s want to see. That’s why i’s important that we get . There is no set pattern as long as the page is diverse - Hobi

Q. What can the ARA team do in order to keep the community as a whole on the topic of BTS?

We already give our best to disable any content that doesn’t belong to this community. And I wouldn’t recommend flagging profiles, but each content that is off topic on that profile.

Some , of this community, yes, who get their content disabled even tell us that “not everything has to be about BTS”. Even I am not sure how to convince those persons otherwise, sorry.

But flagging is still the easiest way to go against off topic content and make s realize that they are breaking the Guidelines and that other are bothered by it. Teamwork makes the dream work, so don’t hesitate to flag. - Jeonji

Our job is to moderate this community, including disabling any off topic posts. Usually, disabling them is easy, explaining that it isn't related to BTS. We try our best to keep the community on topic but sometimes, we miss things. As curators and leaders, we can only enforce the rules. So, the answer to the question would be to keep disabling the off topic and not BTS related posts - Jiminverse

The team does our best in disabling all off topic and triggering posts/public chat rooms. When we disable a post, it not only gets taken down, but we send a message to the explaining how and why their post got taken down, so that they can understand and not post things like their disabled blog again. Most of the time s just don’t understand the guidelines, or read them, so we do our best to remind everyone to our best abilities. - TaeKookism

We try to disable content that isn’t within our guidelines. We have a huge community and we don’t see everything. If we all took the time to look at the guidelines and apply it, I think it would impact greatly - FruityTae

we try to disable the content which are off topic as the moderation team and sometimes it's hard and we do miss some of the content falling under off topic… lately yeah ara has more off topic content being posted and we always try to control it but sometimes it's harder when you try to explain its off topic.. All I can say is that as the team all we can do is disable the content which doesn't relate to bts but as the s everyone has a big responsibility to follow the guidelines and if this happens even for a certain context things would be easier I guess - Taemi

We disable every content which goes against guidelines of being off topic and not related to BTS, even tho some s disagree with it but a community dedicated to BTS have to be related BTS and team always try to disable them but of course we all can miss some post as the community is large and thousands of post are created in one day which is why we always Welcome s to flag the Posts which counts ss off topic or in any form goes against guidelines - Zaini

We try our best to keep the community on topic and appropriate~ it’s normal that we can’t see everything.. I mean we’re just humans after all. We always appreciate it when you guys flag off topic and inappropriate content so we see everything that we eventually have missed. An important part of our position is to tell s to read and follow the guidelines of this community, because sometimes people don’t understand why their content got disabled. I think when more people would read the Guidelines the community would have less off topic posts and misunderstanding wouldn’t happen as often. I know it’s maybe annoying to some people to read it but it’s important so you know what you can post here and what you’re not allowed to. - TaeRa

The team already disables content that violates the guidelines to the best of our ability, so we ask the community to take advantage of the flagging system to help bring content violating guidelines to our attention. With the amount of blogs and content made everyday day its hard not to miss some so flagged content is very helpful in taking down what we may have missed or haven't seen. s taking the time to read the guidelines and following them will also help in keeping the community on topic - GeekMonkey

With a big community like ours, it’s easy to miss some things and I can understand how frustrating it can be to see off topic content lingering around. Please properly flag what you see and a leader for further help - Hobi

We try to disable the contents that doesn't follow the guidelines of Ara as much as we can. But as this community has a big number of , it's hard for us to go through all the posts. So I think if the s be a little more aware of the guidelines it'll be easier to keep the community on topic as it is supposed to be - Jazz

Q. Since the community is growing, how do you guy's feel and what feel's like you guy's seem to be getting closer with BTS?

ARMY is a family, so I love that our family is growing. As to the getting closer to BTS part - I do that privately, while streaming and watching their MVs tbh. Especially Spring Day never fails to remind me how I fell in love with their music. I also feel closer to them by watching their Solo Vlives. - Jeonji

I feel proud. I know that I haven't been here for the longest time in the team but I'm so glad that the community is growing. Each time we hit another benchmark, a sense of achievement is really what I feel. Personally, because the community is growing, it could be stressful due to education and most importantly, family time. I don't feel as if I've gotten closer to BTS. I feel like I'm doing something good for Armys in general Jiminverse

It’s cool to be in such a large community and yet have it feel like a small group of close friends and family. Each new member that s the ARMY family increases that feeling of togetherness within the fandom. I feel like being in the community has deepened my appreciation for not only BTS, but for people in general. Everyone is so different in the community, but is able to get along based on one thing that we all share in common: our love for BTS, and I think that’s awesome. - TaeKookism

Being an ARMY is so important to me. And one of the main reasons why I ed the app. I want to BTS in everything they do. So I usually will stream mv, vlives, projects. But ARA I feel like it’s unique gift back to them as a way today thank you for everything they do for us - FruityTae

We all are family of ARMYs and it is really important for me. I had ed the app at the first place to meet new ARMYs. But on the getting closer part, I do that by straming mvs, v-lives or listening to their songs which is one of the favorite part of my day. I want to say a big thank you for every inspiration I have received from them and their music - MinMin

I basically ed the community to find new army friends and yeah I have come somewhat a journey in the community and I feel so proud about the growth of ara.. And as for the becoming closer with bts part they have really become an inspiration to be myself and be happy with who I am and I really thank them for it… I always do listen to their music, stream their mvs, watching vlives of each member, run bts, and bon voyage… - Taemi

Ara always holds special place in my heart, seeing it growing up warm my heart. Getting closer to BTS is everyday thing now there is no specific thing I'd say which brought me closer to BTS, it's just everything about them day by day brings me closer to them - Zaini

Seeing the community grow is so awesome! I when I first ed... ara was so tiny compared to now. It makes me proud to be part of such a big community where we share love for our boys. I’m also happy that i got to meet many Armys through this app! Seeing different people from different countries with different backgrounds come together is so amazing to see. I learn new stuff everyday and I meet people from around the world which share the same interests as me... i think that’s what makes ara a place I love to be and I want to stay~

About the getting closer to Bts question.. I’m not sure if I understand it right because I’m confused 24/7 :see_no_evil: so I’ll just tell you guys what makes me feel closer to them: watching Vlive livestreams, watching run episodes, watching army bombs and other videos like that. I love watching this kind of videos because they seem really personal and we can see how the act in certain situations. It maybe sounds weird, but I love seeing videos of them eating, because they always looks so happy and I love food as well! 🥰

This place, ARMY, and BTS have helped me through a lot and I’m really happy and grateful to have found a place with a lot of wonderful people. I love watching BTS when they’re not on stage and performing even though they are tremendously talented. I feel like I can relate more to them as I watch them be themselves and idk it feels more personal to me - Hobi

All the Army's are like a  family. So it feels really great the community dedicated to this family is getting bigger. And streaming their mvs and listening to their songs really helps me to get closer to them in a way ig . I feel more stressed it I'm honesty. The bigger the community gets and the more people there are here the more the team has to be online managing everything. And I don't really feel closer to BTS. I haven't watched any of their shows or Bangtan Bombs in over two years probably, ever since I became a leader because I just don't have the time anymore - WICC

Q. Proudest moment as a leader/curator?

Curator - honestly, sometimes English isn’t the first language of some s, so I am always happy if I can help a simply by switching languages

Leader - I am proud of the moment I was trusted with this position, because trust isn’t a thing you can give to just anybody. I don’t take it for granted and try the best for our community and team. - Jeonji

Definitely my first disable. I was nervous but I knew that the team was there for me if I needed them. Guys- ily :two_hearts: - Jiminverse

My proudest moment as a curator was the first time I received a message from a asking for help with an issue. I felt important, and like I was really doing something to help out with the community for the first time. It just made me feel really good. - TaeKookism

I will always say becoming a curator. It’s something I never really thought would happen, and it did. I love it and I hope to enjoy it for a very long time - FruityTae

Well I would say me becoming a curator would be the proudest moment even though I was a nervous wreck… I have been through alot through the journey and I'm really thankful for everything - Taemi

I don't have exactly moment of being proud. I just feel happy to be able to help the when they need as curator and even as Leader now - Zaini

I don’t really have a specific moment, but I always appreciate when people say that I was being helpful! Because I think that’s a big part of our position.. helping s with their problems in this community - TaeRa

A proud moment for me is seeing the community come together during events to show appreciation to BTS or when they come together to help a cause in the name of BTS, being on the team has allowed us to provide opportunities like those for the community to come together and make a difference which is something that I do feel proud of having a part in - GeekMonkey

I always feel proud when I know I’ve helped or contributed in some way towards the community and towards the here, so it’s an everyday thing - Hobi

When I became a curator because it felt really special that I could help this community from the time onwards - Jazz

When s participate in the fundraisers and special projects. I enjoy volunteering for things and doing service projects in my daily live so seeing other doing the same things, and for BTS which is even better, really makes me happy - WICC

Q. Who talk the most in the team chat?

Kathy and Jeonji, for sure. But I have to say, I do see Kooks a lot :eyes: I think that those people are the most talkative. Then again, they are fun to talk to as well - Jiminverse

Q. Have any one of you met each other in real life? If yes, who?

I met 2 current and 2 ex of the team.

I met tam during a BTS concert, at a time where we both didn’t know we would meet (through a friend), and that we would work together in the team in the future, she deserves all the smileys :3 :* ;) :o uwu

And I met Pandore during a different BTS concert too, my sweet lil potato :3 - Jeonji

I have not met anyone, but I recently found out that I went to the same concert as Mel and Jaymi on the same day, but missed the opportunity of meeting them :cry: 🤧 - TaeKookism

Yes, I met a team member at BTS’ concert this year. She was extremely sweet! Moments like this I wish to meet more team . Would love to meet Charlie and Maddy since they seem to be closest atm :eyes: - FruityTae

Q. What kind of blogger were you when you ed ara? Eg: a discussion blogger, fanart blogger, or just a blogger

I blogged any kind of blog I was motivated for tbh, but now I mainly do blogs for the community or fanarts - Jeonji

I was mostly a discussion blogger or a FF blogger. Ah, the old times. I when I first got featured - Jiminverse

When I first ed ara I mostly just posted my favorite BTS pictures because I didn’t really know how to use the app :joy: but when I got to know more about what people post on ara, I got into doing a lot of poetry.

Well at first even I didn't know what I was posting (those beginner days were cringe worthy) but yeah I would like to say I was more of a person who made ff blogs and appreciation blogs….. Even my first feature was an appreciation blog… - Taemi

I was just a normal blogger (not really a  blogger), just what i wanted to write, i mostly did stupid appreciation kind of blog - Zaini

Way back I always posted either polls or pictures with quotes because I didn’t know how blogging works. (I deleted all of them though because they were super cringy) When I came back from my long hiatus I loved making appreciation blogs or just anything I felt like doing :joy: - TaeRa

I've never been much of a writer so when I first ed ARA I posted edits I made, I always thought they were stupid hnnhshhs but Jane was always my hype man and encouraged me to keep at them so I did :pensive: :fist: - GeekMonkey

I always did writing and still post FF posts from time to time but not as much as I used to. I hope I can get back to making more in the future! - Hobi

I did a little bit of everything. Mostly analysis and educational blogs. Now I mostly do educational blogs whenever I get the time to write. I really miss blogging regularly - WICC

Q. who is your favorite blogger in ara?

My favourite blogger isn’t that active nowadays, she made great blogs for this community to prepare for comebacks [anna0paris], but I still ire her for that - Jeonji

Jiminism or Jeonism- those two are amazing. If you see this, Cindy, I miss talking and Amber, in love you - Jiminverse

My favorite blogger at the moment is Sweetbl0d, their fan arts are incredible. - TaeKookism

Even before becoming a team member I’ve always been a fan of Pandore’s work. Her fan art is so unique and lovely to look at - FruityTae

I love the blogs of Jeonism(cindy) and Yoonism(Han). They are always beautiful to read. And I love Pandore's arts. She's amazing in what she does - MinMin

Since I'm really into fanfic writing I really adore the way how aya portraits her stories… they are really great… also I love the content of min swag, then arts of pandore and jeonji, poetry of zeneficient I have so many names to say I mean everyone is talented - Taemi

My few favorite have left Ara, some are who still active are Yajr ,Kimi,Jane, Jiminism & Jeonism. The great content creator they all are - Zaini

*drum rolls* it’s jeonism. !!! I love how original and diverse her content is. She’s one of the only bloggers I read every blog from.

Also want to mention derren because I really like his covers and tealysson and pandore because of the unique art style! - TaeRa

Q. Since ARA is one of the largest communities on Amino, does the team have any influence at all on updates?

No, we do not

Q. Does the team plan on doing more activities and challenges for the new year? If so, any ideas?

Yes we are always sharing ideas and making plans for future activities

Q. This might just be me, but I feel like the amount of blogs being featured daily has dropped, is this true? Or is it just me?

Yes the amount of blogs featured has decreased due to there being fewer s online.
