hi welcome to my jungkook birthday blog!

i made a cooky cake for our maknoodle

he’s strawberry cake and his ears and features are fondant

i tried a new technique to get my frosting smooth by running my bench scraper under hot water, and it worked! once i put on all the frosting i smoothed with the hot bench scraper and got a pretty clean finish

his ear with the white was slightly annoying because i would’ve just put white fondant on but i didn’t think of that so it ended up being marshmallow lmao

i can do a tutorial on how i do fondant stuff if y’all would like

recently i’ve been cutting my cake layers in half just to prevent drying as the frosting will help with that and also because it’s aesthetically pleasing

honestly this cake turned out pretty well

i wasn’t expecting to do well because it’s been a while since i’ve used fondant except for as toppers

i had the luck of kook for this cake

i think it’s fun to pretend i’m bts’ chef and make them birthday cakes
