Granny Square Sweater

A follow up to this post

I finished it! I decided not to add the gussets, because it was big enough already and there was no point in making it bigger. There is plenty of room in the underarms as-is.

I've been crocheting for a while but this is the first time I've made something to wear (other than hats and scarves)! It has taken months, on and off, but I'm glad I got it finished in time to give to my mom for Mother's Day! Luckily the weather will co-operate - it's not a beautiful spring day, but it is a nice day for a warm sweater.

While this is huge on me, it should fit my mom better while still being comfortably roomy. I decided not to add pockets for now. If she wants them I can sew them on later sometime. For now, I'm just glad to be done with this so I can move on to something else. For the last week, all my free time has gone into finishing this beast.
