Their friendship becomes complicated when Emma's ex-husband, Bobby Jack (Brian Kerwin), shows up. He claims to have changed his ways, but when he turns out to be the same man Emma divorced, she discovers her true feelings for Murphy.

She really is a fine actress. Had to struggle for so long to overthrow that Flying Nun stigma that was hoisted on her. But she has always given excellent credible performances in all her roles.
Being teamed with James Garner was just icing on the cake.
Excellent movie.
