Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named in the same context but yet are diffrent!
Personally I have been enjoying both styles alot so I wanted to introduce them~
So Let's get started!~
In the Basics what are these styles?
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F41a5c579e7b705d25d9b185afa92390e825eccabr1-719-718v2_hq.jpg)
Ryousangata or 量産型 is actually a term that translated to something like "mass produced type" and for fashion used to only describe fast fashion that everyone especially young female university students wore. And it is still used for that however~ since this style in the picture became popular among Idol fans it began to be called Ryousangatawotaku or 量産型ヲタク, in that term however wotaku is more used as a general term for fan. However it got shortened back to Ryousangata. But here I also want to mention that not all Ryousangata are intense fan of something and not all fans of let's say idols are Ryousangata!
The generel aesthetic of the style is cute and very feminine and frilly. Usual colours used are whites, beige, grey, pink and blacks however other pastel colours like blues or purples are also popular. For make-up it's usually more on the brown and pink side. Hair colour wise they are usually on the natural brown kind of side

On the other hand Jirai(地雷) or also called Jirai Kei(地雷系) or Jirai-ko (地雷子) means landmine and from what I could find it was actually more or less an insult to describe these kinds of girls who would dress like this and thought to be impulsive and blow up at you any second like a landmine. But now everyone who dresses in that style uses it also for themselves and they have kinda taken it back so it is not really an insult for most now.
Style wise I would describe it as the darker twin to Ryousangata. Colours usually seen are blacks, white, reds and pinks. For make up its strong red almost sick looking make up and alot also use quite fair bases. Also for hair vibrant unnatural hair colours are your way to go!~
History of the Styles

As already explained the term Ryousangata was coined before for fast fashion following people in generel for females usually for university students however when did the style itself come up?
When we go back we can find accents of the style appearing really more prevalent in the mid 2010s and than it got popular under idol fans around 2018 to 2019 and than the Ryousangata we know now was born! So it is a very very new style!~

For Jirai it actually comes more out of Yami kawaii and thay stream of trends therefore you fab also see more prints and brands from Yami kawaii also there~ It also I would say first spurt up in the mid 2010s however it really got started in 2019/2020 when the make up became a popular trend to so on youtube for a while~ so it is even newer than Ryousangata
The Visuals
The Clothes

[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F18bf691662d5dbfd13b973080692053cd804c356r1-700-400v2_hq.jpg)
I found this graphic perfect for this~ so colour wise Ryousangata use mainly soft pinks, whites, beige, grey, browns and blacks however like already mentioned other pastel colours can also be popular but it is always a neutral colour plus a pastel colour!
For clothing design wise you could say two piece sets like a blouse and a skirt or so are most popular~ of course these come also with trends so for example suspender skirts were all the rage last year and some to continue this year! But of course one pieces are also used and popular! But again depending on the trend within the fashion~ last year it was checked one pieces~
For brands Ryousangata wear Ank Rouge, Majestic Legion, Rojita or Honey Cinnamon however other brands like Liz Lisa or cheaper brands like WEGO or Ingni also have a bunch of clothes that suit this style!
A staple for Ryousangata however is a Maison de fleur totebag! There is no way around this one. I myself also own one~

Jira's colour palette utilizes blacks, whites, pinks, reds and also blue and purple in more vibrant shades but usually everything is in combination with black! Also often black on black outfits~
For the clothing design you can find the frilly cute styles like Ryousangata however also more I would say sporty styles with parka and pleated skirts are often seen~ also last year the chinese inspired trends made it's way into Jirai alot!~
Brand wise Jirai also uses Ank Rouge alot however also their sisterbrand Jaemie and Travastokio alot~ but same as Ryousangata you can find things also from cheaper brands like WEGO or Ingni and of course also from brands like Liz Lisa or generally brands in 109 however unlike Ryousangata I'd also recommend brands in La Foret in Harajuku~
Jirai also has a staple bag and that is a MCM mini backpack which is usually sold around 600$.
The Make-up
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F7a08c10aedf832785fbaa9be427b4d5714bb97acr1-1280-720v2_hq.jpg)
For Ryousangata it is usually quite soft. The base make up is usually quite flawless but matches the skin tone quite good. Than the eyebrows are straight and for the eye Make-up with beige, champagne, gold and pink colours as eyeshadows and a drupy liner and lenses is created. However depending on the person you ask they'll use brown eyeliner instead of black, use it just on the outside, make it less drupy or more and of course use more eyeshadow or less. Also fake lashes are optional~ also nowadays have eyelash extensions.
A little thing I want to add is that not to use to~ strong of a pink or else it will remind more of Jirai than Ryousangata~
Lip wise a bright red is often used where I might like to add Japanese red tones usually have a little pink undertones~
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F03d3b01baf313073de423f1d078d4efa181c7231r1-1200-674v2_hq.jpg)
Jirai make-up had its moment in 2020! It became a trend and kinda a challenge for influencer or celebrity to attempt this type of Make-up.
The base for this type of make-up is quite light usually a bit lighter than your actual skin tone. Eyebrows again straight.
For eye Make-up alot of either darker vibrant pinks or reds are applied on the lid and below their which should be your namidabukuro. Usually also namidabukuro is highlighted and black eyeliner is a must for this look which usually is drawn also kinda drupy however I have also seen done more winged eyeliner looks~again coloured s are used and fake lashes are again optional~
Lips are usually red!
The Hair

The video to the hairstyles Here
For Ryousangata the hair colour is usually more on the natural side like blonds, browns or if a little unnatural colour is a muted colour like pink~
Hairstyle wise usually curly hair is the base and than you can do anything~ alot of girls also have bangs full or a bit see through so usually the hairstyles also match the bangs~
what is also popular is to use like ribbon and things as decoration~
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F526b5c907f2338ea8d70279c93e559a06d9485edr1-640-480v2_hq.jpg)
The videos to these hairstyles here
Hair colour wise for Jirai anything is okay I feel like however usually darker more intense colours like black and dark brown or unnatural colours are very popular~ or what also is often seen is two tone hairstyles so one part of the hair black and the other pink for example~
For Hairstyles is can be straight or curly but I feel like the hairstyles like in the video are to go to ones but if course there are more~
Ribbon is a popular accessory
Association
Here I want to talk about how the style is perceived and also a bit if stigma that comes with it~
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2Fefccf05dd819d23a47296f7b77325929f0bfbdadr1-720-715v2_hq.jpg)
Let's again start with Ryousangata~
Since the term was first together with wotaku they do tend to have a strong association with idol culture especially Johnny's & Associates Idols and if you go to a concert if their artists yes you will see a bunch and maison de fleur bags everywhere~ however not only Johnny's fans but also people who are into anime and seiyu culture have started to wear this style and also people who like other things like Sanrio~ but also non wotaku or fans of something special have started to wear this fashion but it is very much associated with idol fan culture for alot of people~
Also it is said that this style is not popular among men but if you actually go to a concert venue you can always see guys trying to pick up girls wearing this fashion they are like everywhere
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]
[BC]Today I have a style introduction of two styles who are often named](https://image.staticox.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.mejordescarga.net%2F7825%2F04d53f99f625fd0545c93264b0b7c2bef8205d30r1-718-717v2_hq.jpg)
Now for Jirai~ this fashion also now in the west when I search for english sources is associated with Menhera fashion or in general Menhera which is a shorted word for Mental Health problems BUT and I want to emphasize the BUT alot of Jirai-ko don't have mental health problems and are sick of this association and in Japan, diffrent form the j-fashion scene overseas, Menhera is seen in an extremely negative way and stigmatized.
On a more lighter note Jirai-ko are somehow associated to drinking alot of Monster energy drinks~🤔 I really don't know where this comes from tbh~
And even though of course there are idol fans among them also alot of visual kei band fans are among them from what I have seen~
Again people tend to say this style is not popular among men but idk 🤷🏻♀
And lastly I want to give my own Outfit idea for both styles~
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]

This would be my Ryousangata Outfit~ and for colours I chose pink and white with black accents~ and the trend from last year suspender skirts~
![Ryousangata & Jirai ~A Set of Twin Styles~-[IMG=4Q8]

and for my Jirai outfit I decided for a black Bordeaux kind of outfit~the blouse also has cutouts on the sleeves which was also quite a trend last year I would say and instead of a tote bag I chose a backpack~
Okay and with this I am done!~
If you have any questions let me know~
Okay that's it!~ :v: 🏼
