Without question, the 1990s Seattle SuperSonics led by Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp were one of the most exciting eras in their franchise's history as the precursor of the Lob City era in LA recording multiple 50-win seasons and their best chance to win their first championship since 1979 is without question 1996 when they ran into the 72-win Chicago Bulls losing the series in 6 games making it a series after trailing 0-3.
Since then, they were never able to return back to the Finals during that era, and right after Kemp left, this was pretty much the beginning of the end for the franchise as the process of potentially losing their NBA years down the line by 2008 has begun.
In your opinion, do you think the SuperSonics will ever take ability for disbanding their only contending team of the 1990s?
