A tea light diff incorporates all the elements and is an excellent spell to try out if you like diff, want a constant mild spell, or in a crunch of materials and time.
Water in the diff represents water.
The candle represents water.
When the water and oil gets heated and evaporates it represents Air.
The Diff, usually ceramic, is Earth .
The diff oil itself is your intention which represents Spirit.
I would change the diff oil blend according to my intention.
Few examples:
Rose and Jasmine for Love.
Citronella and Lemongrass for cleansing.
Pine and Rosemary for protection.
Cinnamon and Orange for success.
Ylang Ylang and Rosehip for sex.
Etc.
