Hi all!
I’m just out on my nature walk. I’ve been doing it for about 3 days and hope to make it a daily thing. It’s been lovely and calming; exploring my area has given me great joy. ☘
Saying that, something strange I’ve been seeing keeps repeating. I’m not sure if it is *strange* though. Recently, I’ve been seeing seagull feathers sticking out of the ground. Today makes 3 or 4. They’ve been in various locations, so I’m not sure how one person would go about doing this deliberately, as in making them stick up on purpose? Do they just have a tendency to land in the soil and grass upright when they fall off a bird?
I’m not asking if it’s a sign, that’s still for me to decode! Though I’m just wondering what are the chances and if this is normal?
I’d appreciate any input you have at all, so I can help deconstruct this and learn more.
Thanks a bunch,
VdLF :ocean:

I don't think it's uncommon, especially in a grassy area. I sometimes find bird feathers in my yard and about half the time they're sticking up out of the ground. I think the quill end is heavier than the tip so it wouldn't be unusual for a feather to fall that way and then be held upright by the grass if it lands right. I have always found it interesting when that happens though.
Thanks a bunch! I thought that too about the quill. 🪶 :blue_heart:
