P2: SAWYER + CRESS

☆ thrilled to finally share the second part of my recent Helluva Boss AU, where i draw my main 6 ocs as various types of hellborn in the universe and art style of Helluva Boss! this time, featuring the twins Sawyer and Cress!

☆ first up with SAWYER: Sawyer is depicted here as a pitbull hellhound from the Gluttony Ring. I chose this for her because Sawyer is confident, brawny, reckless, and isn't afraid to use her teeth in a fist fight. She's tough as nails, but is incredibly loyal to her friends and would go down fighting to the bitter end for the people she cares about. I've often compared her aesthetic to that of a feral dog, and in this AU, as hellhounds are usually depicted as bodyguards, she's about as domestic as an untamed junkyard mutt, going wherever she wants, doing whatever she wants, exclusively on her own .

☆ shown beside her is her brother CRESS: the younger twin, Cress is an under-appreciated overachiever, often finding himself in Sawyer's shadow while his intellect and efforts go ignored or under-acknowledged. While physically less capable than his sibling, he's incredibly intelligent and clever, with an impeccable sense of dry wit and a skill in sharp-shooting he's honed for many years, hence why i decided to depict him as an Imp assassin from the Wrath Ring. Despite the two being twin siblings, i felt these two different species fit them better than opting to stick to just one, and i feel it adds a nice visual dichtonomy of their differences in personality and presentation, often butting heads and being at extreme odds because of it. They're family against their will, and always will be whether they like it or not.
