Waiting for a Shooting Star

“Oh, hi there-

Have you come to watch the night sky, too?

That’s fine. I’ll try not to get in the way.

Or, are you just wondering what such a small zorua is doing by the water this late at night?

.

I suppose I have the time to talk about it.

I used to stay late every night, waiting for the stars to appear.

They way they just. Stayed suspended in the sky.

It fascinated me.

But what really sold me on the night sky was the idea of a shooting star.

I was told that they could make wishes come true.

And back then, I guess I believed it.

Things were far simpler back then. Life was great.

I didn’t desire anything meaningful.

All I did wish for were berries.

Something I could enjoy eating once, and then forget.

I know better than that today.

A wish made on a shooting star doesn’t always come true.

You don’t get something simply because you want it.

But, even knowing that, I still make my wishes.

I pretend I believe, though I know it’s not true.

So I know what I want, so I can pursue it myself.

And to give myself hope, no matter how false.”

So today is my 999th day on this amino, apparently.

I thought I’d do something today.

And I just felt like doing pixel art because I haven’t done one of these with pixel art before.

Actually, I haven’t done anything actually focused on something relating to pixel art before.
