What is Draconic?
Draconic is a word that translates to “related to” or “suggestive of dragons.” Those that choose to follow this path work with dragon guardians and guides but not always as deity. Many on this path choose to incorporate their dragon worship with other paths in the craft as well. While others may choose to work with just dragons as the only spiritual force. The choice is entirely up to the witch and where they feel lead to be. Nobody is required to give up any religion to work with or alongside them.
Those on this path revere dragons as higher beings, some equating them to a godly status. In either case dragons are very much a powerful race that demand respect. They will do as they please, quickly driven away if you disrespect or ignore them. Those who choose to reach out to them must keep in mind that simply expecting them to come to you is unbelievably foolhardy to say the least. As most dragons, while possibly interested in you, will most often still require you to make the first move and reach out to them.
All in all, Draconic pagans use and work with the energy of their dragon guardians and guides in their everyday life. They not only use time for shadow work and all around magickal practice, but in their normal daily routine as well. They believe dragons, like people, should be talked to and spent time with in the normal times of the day. Not just called upon for magic work.

What is Draconian?
This path, also known as the Path of the Nightshade, is very much a left-handed path. It’s practitioners tell of creation through destruction and self-empowerment. Everything centering around the idea of transforming the self into something of a Godform. Believing that they themselves are a living manifestation of Dragons and are messengers of Primordial Beings. Those on this path consider themselves to be allies of some Dragon Gods and Spirits and will continue to work with these beings until they become one with them. Most on this path work with deities seen by many in society as darker and chaotic. Some main examples of these deities being Lucifer, Lilith, Tiamat, and Belial.
The Draconian path is very strict and can be quite the ridged one. It’s about breaking yourself down to rebuild yourself to be stronger, and while many Draconic practitioners do the same, the ideals behind the relationship with dragons is very different. For instance, most of a Draconian’s spells and rituals use a sort of spiritual fire and don’t often call for a dragon guide or guardian to assist.

Informative, although I knew what draco meant; I was not aware of this distinction with regards to the path [ Magick ]. Love and fire light, o.k., Ave atque vale [ Hail and farewell ]...
