Curator Applications 2025

Hello! As you can see, the community has really dwindled down to a small, less interactive community. We are looking for a few people to our team to help increase interaction & bring fresh ideas to the table!

As the community has changed over time, so have the expectations & intensity of moderating. If you’re a long time , you might notice this application, process, and the role of a curator is a little different than it used to be.

What is a Curator?

A Curator is the face of the moderation team. They are key in the community who interact, engage, , and encourage new and old alike in their creative endeavors. Curators are creative, sociable, and helpful. Curators host challenges, participate in challenges, comment on creations, provide , find quality content to Feature, host chats, and create content themselves.

If this interests you, please note the following before applying:

You must be at least 18 to apply. Moderating can deal with sensitive topics (esp with the amount of sex bots) that we do not feel comfortable exposing minors to.

Know Before You Apply:

1. Everyone who applies will be accepted.

The application is more of a formality to have background info on who are applying. Being accepted for training DOES NOT make you a Curator. We reserve the right to remove, reject, and not accept anyone for any reason.

2. The training process will be more hands on.

Rather than monitoring your minutes or the wording in your mod messages, we’ll be looking for your presence in the community. Comments, posts, public chat messages, things of that nature are what will be defining factors in who becomes an official curator.

3. The ultimate goal is to breathe new life into the community. The community gave up & the mod team did too. We need people who are not easily discouraged, have lots of ideas, and like to interact with others to really get this place going again.

Your preferred name is fine, we do not need to know your real name. Only 18 & older may apply.

2. Describe yourself & your connection to the community.

Who are you? What does Virtual Space mean to you? What, if any, notable things have you done in the community?

3. What is your availability?

Are you in school, do you work a lot? How much free time do you have? You may include a screenshot of your minutes if you’d like.

4. Share an idea for a project you’d like to work on.

It could be a challenge/event, a committee, an edit to previous mod things, a feature to introduce, etc. If you got accepted, what would you hope to do?
