AEROKAGE🗡 here #anime amino and I’m not a big shipping or OTP person in anime at all lol. I never really indulge into the fandom when it comes to the topic of love and who ends up with who, unless it’s part of the actual story. I do think it’s a cool subject to speak on and I’ve decided to be a little more open minded and think about what anime couples or characters really did deserve to end up together and what couples coulda shoulda been… Stay tuned for something different than my usual blogs “Anime Couples That Deserve Or Could’ve Been…” 🤔

Naruto & Hinata Uzumaki :cyclone:

To start the blog off smooth, I’d definitely have to say that #Naruto and Hinata deserved each other in the end. Most people don’t agree with Hinata being a good choice for Naruto because he was interested in Sakura Haruno most of his life. Sakura occupied the young ninja’s heart for years and she wouldn’t give him time of day. Yet, Hinata stood by and watched Naruto from the sidelines.

Hinata was always there for Naruto even when he wouldn’t notice her. Hinata stood up to Pain for him, aided him when he needed and tried to make herself present for him. Naruto was always dense & goofy that he couldn’t realize it until he got older. The common complaint that I’ve seen regarding their relationship is that it was “Forced & Rushed” and I have to agree with that to an extent because they gave us one film where they kind of pushed for their relationship hard before going into Boruto. I still think Naruto not realizing just how valuable Hinata was until he got older was just real tbh. It fits his character & now it feels like he got the perfect woman and perfect family to love with her. It’s dope.

Takemitchi & Hina :alarm_clock: 🩸

#Tokyorevengers if one of my favorite anime series to this date & it’s manga is so underrated. The story tells of Takemitchi fighting in two time periods of himself to save his beloved girlfriend from getting killed and saving his friends of a gang. Takemitchi jumped through hoops to protect his love and tried to figure out just what was causing her death. Call him a simp, but most guys probably wouldn’t do the same for their lady. 🤷‍♂ :joy: Takemitchi is quirky & sensitive at times and that over emotional personality he has just adds to the suspense in the series tbh.

Hina was always loyal to Takemitchi & loved him no matter what time period Takemitchi traveled back in. That type of girl you wanna keep around. The story is amazing and these two really define it. Many times Takemitchi could have given up and accepted fate but this man refused it! I’m sure we all wish we could go back in time for someone or something. Takemitchi & Hina are hella underrated and I don’t ship often, but let this one cruise :fire:

Nami & Usopp 🏴‍☠ 🤥 :woman: 🏻‍🦰

Now I know this one will have some controversy behind it, but this is strictly my opinion lol. I think #Onepiece ‘s Nami and Usopp would make a fire couple and it’s because they are so similar. I swear, anytime I read the manga and see Nami & Usopp scenes together it just makes me laugh and think they really are together. Especially when both of them are the most scared ones in the crew and they have no shame in being real about it Lmao.

Its funny how Usopp is the only true one on the crew who can keep Nami in check & call out her bullshit :joy: . Nami always being concerned for Usopp and yet still believing in him. I’m not even making this up. Oda didn’t want any romance amongst the crew but the Usopp & Nami ship feels lowkey real. I think it works because it’s the unusual pairings that you would never expect. One Piece is not at all about romance or love arcs and that’s something to highlight but it dosent mean we can’t catch on & speculate about our favorite characters. I’m sure those Nami simps out their would have a huge problem with Pinocchio, tryna steal their crush. The liars always end up with the girl anyway🤷‍♂

Rukia & Ichigo Kurosaki 🗡☠

This one has to be the most anticipated ship out of my entire list. #BLEACH ‘s Rukia & Ichigo have been shipped for as long as I can . I was shocked too to find out that Ichigo got with Orihime and Rukia got with Renji. I don’t think that those couples don’t make sense or work, I just think Rukia & Ichigo would have worked out better. Yes Ichigo saves Orihime a lot and she’s been in his class since forever, but that man literally ran up in a whole soul society attacking captains and shit for Rukia :joy: :joy: Literally almost got himself killed in a whole different world being a new soul reaper himself and still did it for that 1 girl.

If that’s not G then I don’t know what is. Ichigo & Rukia has this back and forth dynamic where they tease each other and the vibes are there. I just feel Orihime & Ichigo are too basic of a pair and it just looks nice to see them. Rukia & Ichigo bring a unique energy to the Bleach series and that’s one of the most comedic parts about it. I also like how Ichigo views Rukia as an equal when it’s comes to strength and you don’t see that often with male and female characters in anime. I feel that Ichigo is the type of guy to look for a headstrong tough girl and that’s why him and Rukia really have that special bond. The two have a lot of history and have gone through lengths for each other. If that ain’t a true ship, I don’t know what is. Tite Kubo knows it.

Edward Elric & Winry Rockbell 🦾 :wrench: 🤖

The #FullmetalAlchemist ⛓ series is too Iconic to not include and we have the pair that everyone knows of since it’s debut. Edward Elric & Winry Rockbell. I think Ed and Winry had a funny & budding relationship all throughout the series and we just knew that they caught feels from each other from the start. Ed getting nervous anytime Winry is around and Winry acting like she isn’t worried about Ed at every turn. Winry hurling herself in dangerous situations just to stick by Ed and Al. I feel that the sympathy that Ed & Winry felt for each other throughout their childhoods was what brought them closer.

Edward finally manning up & coming to with his feelings for Winry face to face was so dope to see. I’m glad to know that they have a future together and that they never felt forced upon us. I feel like the older gen anime just understands emotion and how love is a process way better than the newer gem anime does. These moments felt authentic and fulfilling from my fan point of view and I’m glad it was done right. A+ for Edward Elric & Winry Elric.

Eren Yeager & Mikasa Ackerman :japanese_ogre: 🗡

How could we forget about Eren & Mikasa? Eren and Mikasa have a similar traumatic childhood connection like Edward & Winry had. I just feel like #AttackOnTitan ‘s Eren & Mikasa had it a little more gruesome. Mikasa acting more like a simp but I understand it though. People hate on Mikasa’s character for being so desperate for Eren but people don’t stop to realize that Eren is literally all she’s ever known. Mikasa went through lengths to protect Eren because she felt like she needed to & wanted to. It wasn’t just because of some curse.

Eren was always fueled by rage & hatred and that made him neglect the fact that he was suppressing feelings that he may have not known about all along. Eren isn’t soft and I don’t see him being the sensitive comionate type but he just never really cared enough to think about Mikasa in that way, until the damage was already done. This is one of the pairs that is the saddest to speak on cause there is so much trauma layered between these two characters. I feel like if the situation was better, Eren & Mikasa would have been happy together. Nevertheless, Attack On Titan is still one of the greatest animes of all time.

Light Yagami & Misa :pencil: ⚰

This “relationship” was controversial as well because it was mostly one sided and it’s sad that it ended that way. #DeathNote ‘s Misa & Light Yagami have a history littered with drama and insanity. Light only using Misa for his dastardly plans to take over the world & correct society. Misa being dumb and naive feel for every trick Light had planned for her because that man really had her wrapped around his finger.

I just feel like Misa deserved better in a partner and it’s sad to see her get played so much. Light was a true menace and he had no romantic feelings for anyone except that damn notebook :joy: I would say that this relationship could have worked if Misa became just as crazy and Light was and knew that he was just using her and never truly loved her. The two could have bonded out of using each other and if she was smart enough, she could of been the female him. Hell, Light might have even liked that lmao. I’m just speculating here but I don’t think toxic relationships will last forever. Just look at Will Smith & Jada Pinkett 🤷‍♂Light would of been the end of Misa but unfortunately his own pride and narcissism led to his downfall. Lights out for good.

There Are Many Many More… :ok_hand:

There are many couples in anime that could of worked out, could of been shipped and deserve the relationships. With my limited knowledge on pairings inn anime, this blog really opened my eyes to see just how some our favorite characters got down. It dosent even have to be a romance geared anime for people to still have their ships and theories of how the characters could and should end up.

Some honorable mentions include: Riza Hawkeye & Roy mustang, Misaki & Usui, Deku & Uraraka, Nobara and Yuji, etc. The pairings are limitless. I’m glad that we have anime because anime is fictional & fantasy and we can kind of live in delusions and fantasy when we consume the anime and manga. People make friends off anime and that’s a cool thing. It shouldn’t matter what genre of anime you like, you can still have imput on topics like these and they are always interesting to talk about. :ok_hand: Love is a part of life and we’d be crazy not to wanna talk about it and discuss it in different ways. I felt weird about making a blog like this but I think it was cool to give it a try.
