YOUR PROFILE

Every piece of content and member profile has a direct URL that you can copy and paste. To find that link, navigate to the post or profile and tap ••• at the top right of the page and select copy link.

When you sign up for Amino, you have the option to under an email address, phone number, or through Facebook. Once you are signed up and on the app, you have the option to add an extra form for extra security.

You can have up to three different s on Amino. Please note that you will have to attach a different identifier (email address or phone number) to each one.

If you no longer have access to the email address that you signed up with, changed your phone number, or are unable to sign in for any other reason: please let us know through this form.

How do I change the email address attached to my ?

Go into Settings > > Email. You’ll be able to change the address there. You’ll be asked to your again, so make sure to double-check your spam filter if you don’t see the message.

How do I change my ?

If you don't your , you can reset it by clicking “?” on the start page. This will send a verification code to either your email or phone number, depending on which your is ed under.

If you're already logged into the app, you can go straight to Settings > > Change > .

Tip: Make sure to double-check your spam filter if you’re not receiving a reset email - and that you’re manually typing the code into your phone, not copy-pasting :)

ONLINE STATUS, LOCATION, AND MOODS

When you are using our app, you are considered online and will appear in a list of online for that Amino. If you want to use the app but not appear on the list, you can go offline for 24 hours at a time by navigating to your profile and selecting "Go Offline."

You can also disable inbound chat requests so that other cannot initiate chat conversations with you, even if you are online.

You also have the opportunity to attach a mood to your profile, letting other know how you're feeling! Follow Amino on Instagram and perform some other actions to unlock the full range of emotions.

How Do I Unlock Moods?

Moods are a fun way to show the rest of Amino how you’re feeling on any given day! You start with 8 moods unlocked automatically and can unlock thousands of others to use by fulfilling some simple tasks.

Five different actions on Amino allow you to unlock five different sets of moods. In order to begin unlocking packages: go to your profile, tap the mood cloud to choose your mood and perform any or all of the following:

・Follow Amino on Instagram

・ the main Amino app

・Invite a friend to Amino

・Send Amino about the app

・Check in for 2 weeks straight on any single Amino community

How do I turn on/off my location on Amino?

Using your location on Amino is optional! You don’t have to do it, if you don’t feel comfortable with it. If you chose to add a location, you can do it in your profile. Please keep in mind that we do not recommend using the exact location for privacy and safety reasons.

If you would like to opt out of having your generalized location searchable in Amino, you should be able to do this in your phone settings. However, this option may be unavailable depending on what device and OS you use.

CHECKING IN

Checking into your Aminos each day is an awesome way to earn reputation points, gain a new title, or get on the Leaderboard! Enter an Amino and navigate to the Left Side to check in. Track all of your check-ins by navigating to your profile and clicking on your ranking badge.

LANGUAGE

Your Explore Page language can be set through Global Settings in Amino, but the language for the rest of the app reflects your phone’s default language. You can change this in your phone or tablet settings!

Some devices give you the option to multiple languages. If you list these by order of preference, you should be able to have your phone in one language and all your apps in another.

Which languages are available on Amino?

You can currently communities on Amino in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian, French, and German. Stay tuned for more soon!

DISPLAY

Does Amino only work in portrait mode?

Yes, Amino only works in portrait mode at the moment. Landscape mode is available when you are using a screening room.

Can I format (bold/italicize/underline) text in chats and blogs?

You can format text in both chats and posts! This feature includes bold, italicize, underline and strikethrough options. In order to use one of those, please highlight a piece of text and click on the desired font.

Can I make the menu look bigger?

At the moment, menu size is fixed and regulated!

Why do my images sometimes look different after ing?

Storage space is limited and with the number of photos ed to Amino every single day we can't preserve the full resolution of each one. Images ed using the Shared Folder in your community will have a higher resolution that those in your blog!

What are the best dimensions for my community icon/launch image/theme background/title bar/logo?

When you an image for one of those features, it will help you to manually make it fit the best possible size. If the image is too small, you will also be notified about it! However, here are the dimensions that work the best at this moment:

・512x512 pixels for icon

・1024x698 pixels for launch image

・1024x698 pixels for theme background

・640x128 pixels for title bar

Keep in mind that your community logo should have a transparent background! (Note: while PNGs with transparent backgrounds work for logos, the background will render as white if ed to a blog or post.)

SETTINGS

On the Left Side , an area called Settings allows you to adjust and customize your Amino experience. General Settings allow you to see information, change your Explore Page language, or view announcements from Team Amino, designed to keep you up to date.

Push Notifications:

You can select which notifications you'd like to receive from this community. Click here to learn about enabling and disabling push notifications for Amino in your phone’s settings.

Blocked s:

Amino gives you the ability to block other  in order to limit your interaction with them. In your Settings, you can view and manage the list of you’ve blocked, including the ability to remove a block.

On-Screen Compose:

You have the option to disable the on-screen compose button, located in the bottom right corner of your screen, which provides an easy way to create any type of Amino content. If you choose to disable this button, you will still be able to compose content by navigating to the Left Side .

Detail View Action Bar:

This bar appears at the bottom of the screen when you are viewing a post, allowing you to take a number of common actions. You can remove this bar at any time.

Suggested Aminos Toast:

We will regularly suggest new Aminos that you might like! You can turn off these recommendations at any time.

Tap Return To Send In Chat:

When this is enabled, you can send messages quickly in chats, simply by hitting return.

─

Push Notifications:

Control the notifications you receive for this Amino so that you don't miss the important stuff.

Allow Inbound Chat Requests:

Turn off the ability for other to start conversations with you.

─

Allow Commenting On My Profile:

Turn off the ability for other to write on your profile's wall.

Saved Drafts:

Revisit the content you've been working on but haven't quite finished. (Please note that these are local files - if you clear your cache or uninstall the app, your drafts will also be cleared.)

Clear Cache:

Amino may store images and content you've recently viewed in order to load faster and run smoothly as you navigate. This can take up additional memory on your phone. If you're running low, clear your cache to free up some more space.

How do I delete my ?

To delete your , go to the Settings menu > click at the bottom of the menu > Click Delete > Enter your > Click Delete.

You must wait 7 days before you can create a new associated with the same email address or phone number.

Please note that after this 7 day period, all data will be permanently deleted. Make sure this is what you really want to do!
