Battle of the leads || GOALDIGGERS

Rio here from #goaldiggers with my

first collab with my Jude for the first

time. We are here with the segment

‘battle of the leads’ of Goal Diggers.

In this, we will be battling each other

with the main and second lead. And

the leads we chose are Jo Yi Seo &

Oh Soo Ah from the drama ‘Itaewon

Class’. As she gave me the chance

to choose I chose Soo Ah, the one I

liked throughout the whole drama.

Oh Soo Ah is an orphan who grew up

in an orphanage managed by Jangga

Co. She is a straight A student whose

goal has always been set thats to make

a successful career and become an

independent woman living a carefree

life. As Sae Ro Yi’s father was an employee

at Jangga he used to go to the orphanage

and look after the kids and thats why

He was a father figure to Soo Ah and

the reason Soo Ah met Sae Ro Yi.

She was classmates with Sae Ro Yi

and the first love of Sae Ro Yi.

She is straightforward, calm but abit

selfish. She is honest but doesnt

dare to fight for it. She is a coward

that fears the powerful and neglects

the weak. She is ambitous but soft

at heart. She’s a quiet person who

tends to hide their problems and

solve by their own. She is a egoistic

woman who doesnt want to look

down upon neither wants to seek

others help. All over she might look

like an evil second lead but the fact

is that she is a real character who

is selfish, who is afraid to love, who

is afraid to looked down upon, who

does a lot of mistakes but doesnt

want to it that. And I am glad

she reflects on her mistakes and on

herself at the end and moved on to

start a new life with a new dream.

Reasons to like her

As most of the viewers hated her it

wasnt also easy for me to love her.

Even though all her qualities were

unlikable, all she did were wrong

from the very first moment she kind

of attracted me. The days of her

high school when she was pure and

the moments with Sae Ro Yi were

just fresh and calm and cute. So

even though I myself dont know why

I liked her but I tried finding some

reasons to make you hate her abit

less lol :bow: 🏼‍♀ :full_moon_with_face: .

Honesty

This is one of the reason I liked her.

She was honest from the very first

Moment until the end. She was

honest to it her fault about

ignoring the beggar to Sae Ro Yi &

she also explained her reason. She

was the one who pointed out Jang

Geun Won’s car to Sae Ro Yi. If she

wanted she could’ve hide it. Even

when working in Jangga she was

true to the company. She was clear

about her feelings for Sae Ro Yi and

Cleared it to Sae Ro Yi too. She

never hid her true intentions and

always showed her trueself. She

didnt care about what others think

of her. She hated Jang Geun Won

to much extent and never intended

to hide her hatred.

Hard Working

Growing up in an orphanage made

her a hard working person. Every

thing she did she put a lot of effort

on it. She knew she had no

and the only one she can rely on is

her ownself. She studied hard and

went through alot to remain a

straight A student all the way until

the high school. The reason she got

scholarship which saved her from

worrying about the study costs.She

worked and studied hard to get into

The best university and achieve a

successful career. Even after getting

into Jangga she put all of her efforts

into the and survived through the

lowest grade employee to become

a director. If she wanted she could

have just married Jang Geun Won to

become a rich woman and own

alot of riches👁.

A Real Pitiful Character

Where Sae Ro Yi had a loving father

and Yi Seo had a mother that she

can rely on Soo Ah didnt have any-

one beside her since childhood. All

those lovely family moments she

never got to enjoy. Even after being

successful she was alone. That

makes her the most pitiful person

on the drama. The part when she

forgot her card for university exam

and was almost shattered was a

really emotional moment and I was

so happy that Sae Ro Yi was there

that day to help her. The only friend

she had was Sae Ro Yi but as she

didnt clarify the truth for Sae Ro Yi

she was too embarassed to face him

And stopped ing him but she

always kept her in heart. Although

she was the one who said to Sae Ro

Yi to become rich if he wants to

marry her she did give him a chance

when he came to meet her in itaewon

the day he was discharged from

prison. I believe when she told Sae

Ro Yi to become rich she must’ve

trying to encourage him to take

revenge which made me love her

more. Yi Seo accused her of the

complaint call that day but she didnt

say anything and just wanted to

know what Sae Ro Yi thought of her.

I almost cried at that moment when

they showed Soo Ah wasnt the one

who called to police that day. After

all these things happened she didnt

give up at last instead reflected on

her mistakes and started a new life

alone again.

Although she did many wrong

things and also kept Sae Ro Yi

hanging I still shipped her more

with Sae Ro Yi. Even if it was a

short moment but there was

A spark of love between them.

I dropped the drama at ep 12

cause I couldnt bear to see

her bad side. To me she was

the most realistic character

and kind of felt related to me.
