Hihi! It's been a while right? But I am back now after a constant phase of demotivation. Rejoice :") I hope everything has been going well for every precious reading this.

This blog is adoringly dedicated to Jungkook for providing me with the utmost comfort and euphoria with his angelic voice and his whole existence, also the absolute inspiration from his musical talents so to celebrate this angel's birthday and express my gratitude to him, I decided to make this blog.

This blog is an entry for the challenge given by Positivity club– August with bts; where we had to make a blog about anything we find impressive or respectful about bts and also for Jungkook's birthday event conducted by Ara.

: making or tending to make a marked impression : having the power to excite attention, awe, or iration an impressive display of skill.

This is the definition of impressive according to Google, so as now I can tell you what are we about to discuss and analyse today.

What makes a person impressive? It could be anything whether it be their personality, or how they speak or look and many more factors. Then a question arises. What makes a song impressive?

The voice of the singer, their execution or presentation, the emotions the song is conveying, the lyricism, the melody, the overall quality of production and composing—everything together are some factors from which we derive a song is impressive and irable to hear or not.

As in today's blog we would analyse the lyricism and emotions conveyed by some of the songs Jungkook produced, composed and wrote and of course, his solos and appreciate those masterpieces.

Let's begin with begin, do we?

"Begin" is a solo song by Jungkook of BTS. It was released on October 10, 2016, and appears as the third track for their second studio album Wings and the repackage album You Never Walk Alone.

Although it's not written by Jungkook but it heavily conveys the deep emotions he felt for the on a particular day while talkin' about their stress and struggles as told by RM who had actually embodied Jungkook's feeling into the song. He further told that he was hesitant and unsure to do so, but he had perfectly inscripted Jungkook's strong spirit into the song.

LYRICANALYSIS.

"When I was fifteen years old, I had nothing

The world was too big and I was small

Now I can’t even imagine now

I was scentless and completely empty

Jungkook started his musical journey while he was merely 15 with nothing, not even an acknowledgement of whether he would be successful or not in this wide and diverse music industry which is his ion or his world. He couldn't even imagine he would reach here at this point. He missed a range of emotions as he was just a teen, a person who had just started the process of making of himself. He didn't have the traits which makes a personality attractive or complete and thus he was scentless and empty.

"Love you my brother, I’ve got brothers

I discovered emotions, I became me

He loves his brothers, bts , of course. He has got them and meeting them made him discover various emotions and feelings as they lived together and struggled find to their image. He learnt from them– and they were a good influence so now he is him, Jeon Jungkook, a person with variety of emotions, a person who is kind, humble and mature, loving, and considerate.

His motivated him and pushed him to begin, to start something afresh and become the best of him so now he wants to share his every happiness with them.

Jungkook who has a deep attachment and love for his brothers doesn't like to see them cry. How would he? We never like to see anyone we love suffer, we feel like we could suffer instead of them, but we can't anyways. This is how selfless his love is.

He is ready to cry with his wanting them to share their sadness with him like how they shared his sadness.

It hurts him more when his brothers are sick or sad, he worries about them and it deeply upsets him seeing the brothers he love are suffering and that feeling is more worser than how he feels when he is sick.

He doesn't know why his brothers are sad yet he wants them to share and cry it all out. He is there for them and he is gonna cry along with them anyways, as it saddens him too that his brothers are sad or under bad weather just because he loves them too much.

His brother remake him again and again; how? Whenever he makes a mistake, they are here to correct him and make him improvise more and so they remade him into a more better version of himself. He wants them to dream more and touch the new heights of success all along with him, together.

He once agains repeats how his are the reason he began in the first place and is Jungkook who is constantly turning into a better person.

BUTHEORY

As we know Jungkook in real life and the bu have some similarities; both of them don't really like to cry infront of their friends neither do they like seeing their friends cry and are always there for them. We also know that Yoongi and Jungkook shared the strongest bond in the bu, now back to the begin short film, the painting we see is I suppose yoongi.

We also get a glimpse of Yoongi's piano burning in Jungkook's eyes as if he is seeing the future which agitates him and he starts to cry calling out Hyung at 1:46, although all the have reactions to it in their own short films.Yoongi's reaction is must to be noticed as once Jungkook calls him, he looks out and gets saved by almost getting hit with a car. Also, we do hear the begin's melody as a whistle in first love short film along with the piano.

MUSICALITY

The melody in Begin is actually made to build up the rush of excitement while listening to it. The songs starts with soft, slow tunes to express the melancholy of a 15 year old who is alone in the big world to progress into having his hyungs by his side–fast and upbeat tunes to show the thrill of starting something new, to once again revert back to slow, soft tunes to express the heartbreak of seeing someone you love in pain then converting back into its fast, upbeat tunes while this conversion and reversion continues the whole song which does make the listener attentive and excited. Jungkook's voice was itself the most special part of the song as his breathy soft vocals shows outstanding execution in respect to the melody. To be honest, nothing can describe how angelic and versatile Jungkook's vocals are.

"Euphoria" is a song by Jungkook of BTS. It was released on April 5, 2018 as the short film titled "Theme of Love Yourself : Wonder " and appears as the first track of CD A in their second compilation album Love Yourself: Answer.

Even tho euphoria may seem like a happy upbeat song expressing the happiness from newly found love, it has some dark tone underlying in the lyrics just as the meaning of Euphoria.

denoting well-being and overwhelming happiness produced in a sick person by the use of drugs. The word euphoria is orginated in 17th century, Greek.

BUTHEORY

Euphoria mv is rather complex even tho it might seem like bts purely having a fun time and it also plays a crucial part in Jungkook's storyline along with the song itself. The mv starts with showing bts ' ill fate, although soon all of it gets reversed and everyone gets saved, thanks to Jin. Now, once the timeloop is over, we can see the having fun and being reunited as in the mv although it's all being recorded by Jin as this may mean they are memories, and the real happy times are over and the have split again.

If you have read the hyyh notes, you might know how Jungkook gets into an accident and is unable to walk, and there in the hospital–he meets his euphoria, a girl who he fell in love with. Keeping the meaning of Euphoria in mind, you might guess that this euphoria is short-term and fake just how Jungkook's love is also short-term and fake.

LYRICANALYSIS

"You are the sunlight that rose again in my life

A reincarnation of my childhood dreams

I don't know what these emotions are

Am I still dreaming?"

The girl Jungkook fell in love with is the sunlight representing a ray of hope coming into Jungkook's life which is full of darkness as bts aren't there with him anymore. With her, he could live his childhood dreams once again as she makes him feel carefree, safe and happy. He hadn't felt those emotions in a while and is clueless about them; he doesn't even know if he is dreaming or not?

"There is a green oasis in the desert

A priori deep inside of me

I'm so happy, I can't breathe

Everything's getting blurry"

A green oasis is just an illusion of happiness in the sands of sadness while priori actually means a conclusion that comes after theoritical and reasonable deduction.Jungkook also have such a priori in his heart which doesn't believe this euphoria is real but it's too deep for him to find. He is just so happy that he can't even breath.The thin line between reality and dream is blurry.

"I hear the ocean from far away

Across the dream, past the woods

The ocean in the bangtan universe is like the bts ' safe place but jungkook's dream/euphoria is a barrier to reach there, that safe place is across the dream, past the woods of dangers. Now since his dream and reality are almost same to him, he is chasing behind the dream which is more beautiful even tho it's not true. That dream or the girl is his clarity; all he wants is her. Noting the fact means euphoria also means fake happiness produced in a sick person by the use of drugs; the girl Jungkook is in love with is the same drug causing the fake happiness in his life while he was in the hospital. He is so addicted to her that he is ready to shut out the whole world for her as with her, everything seems so perfect to him as if utopia although neither perfection nor utopia exists.

Since both the girl and Jungkook are in hospital unable to live their reality, their dreams can't be fulfilled and so they are erased. They see the same painful view of the hospital, they share their pains. But the girl is gone somewhere, that's why Jungkook asks that won't she stay in his dreams? There are two theory about the girl - either she could have died or she could have just broke off the with Jungkook.

Jungkook isn't just ready to accept the fact she is gone from his reality. He is just so addicted to the girl that he is shutting off the whole world, his friends, anything just for her. He wants to stay with her even in his dreams. His love is gone to a level where it's toxic and just not the reality.

Jungkook once again rejects going to the boys for being with the girl who isn't even there anymore, he is just lying to himself to stay in his euphoria. It's all his illusion. He had closed all the doors for the outside world to live in his fake utopia.

MUSICALITY

DJ Swivel did a really great job in producing this song, the melody is somehow really calming and comforting even tho it's a upbeat song. It felt so magical and dream-like and Jungkook's soft voice just meshed so perfectly into the melody made the song so euphoric and addictive in itself. The adlibs and background vocals alone are such a bliss to hear so what would I say about his vocals in the song? They were beautiful yet sad just like the lyrics. There is a slight desperation in his voice to stay in his dreams. Also, DJ swivel in one of his presentation said that Jungkook didn't want any alterations or correction in his voice was a rather impressive fact. Euphoria even tho feels like go to happy song with the soft upbeat tunes of it is actually a really deep song conveying toxicity of love once we start consuming it as a drug.

"시차" (My Time) is a song by Jungkook of BTS. It was released on February 21, 2020, and appears as the ninth track in their fourth studio album Map of the Soul: 7.

My time is a soulful song ing Jungkook's journey of growing as a young star. The song is as if self-reflecting and going back to the past with trendy beats.

LYRICANALYSIS

"24, feels like I became a grown-up faster than everyone else

My life has been a movie, all the time"

Jungkook starts off by saying he is 24 now, he is growing up faster than everybody else as his lifestyle as an idol is hectic and different than anyone else of his age. He further says how his life is being filmed all the time giving him no time for himself to recharge, he feels out of place.

"I ran to where the sun rises every single night

It's like I've been to someone's tomorrow"

He is always running for his future instead of enjoying the present. He feels like he has been to someone else's future from feeling so disconnected with himself.

The boy who found the world too big

Keep on runnin’ errday, pick the mic up

Friends ridin’ subway, I’ll be in the airplane mode

He was the same boy who found the world too big and is now performing everyday picking the mic up, his life had been all over the place. His friends who are still enjoying their life are riding on a subway like normal people having fun and he is in airplane mode going abroad for another performance.

"All over the world rock on, I made my own lotto

But is it too fast? There're traces of losses"

He is rocking the whole world, making his own image. But his life is just moving too fast for him to enjoy everything at the same moment and yet he find losses too in the immense deserved success.

"Don't know what to do with, am I livin' this right?

Why am I alone in a different time and space?"

And since he is so disconnected with himself with the lack of time, he doesn't know what to do now or if he is even living his life right. He feels lonely and different from everyone as his life is moving too fast while others are taking their time and space.

He can't talk to himself, his family, his friends, his fans and everything that he loves. He is just so busy that he doesn't get time to spend doing what he likes or what will make him feel more connected with himself.

He asks himself if he can fix something to find his time to only give him affirmation that he will fix something to find his time someday. He is gonna find time for himself.

He thought he was livin' in past as everyone is moving so fast, everything is moving fast. Time is fickle.

"I'm a little kid grown up not knowing it like a child who got lost

This got me oh just trippin’

It feels I'm roaming over "

He feels like he was a little child who grew up ever so fast that he doesn't even know what happened in his life, as if a child who gets lost and everything happening around that child is so confusing and quick. He can't get over the fact that he had lost his childhood. He keeps doing same thing all the time, same schedule, different day.

Sometimes when I'm gasping for air

I wear my hat low and keep running

When he is performing, he feels out of breathe but he covers it up professionally and keeps performing.

"Yeah, I don’t gotta know where I go

He doesn't need to know where he has to go, he just have to go even if it's the past.

He would take out sometime for the present but double of it to catch up with the past, things he love, his friends, his family, everything he lost. Even tho he had lost so much, but he had also gained a lot, and he is happy that he met his fans who had given him so much love and he is gonna be happy about that fact till the very end.

And yes you know, yes you know

Oh, I will call ya, I will touch ya

And you know "

He seems more sure that he will make time for himself, his family, his friends and everything he loves and you know jungkook will surely do it.

MUSICALITY

My time is an R&B songs with trendy and catchy beats making it stuck in your head once you hear it and Jungkook's vocals are a cherry on top. The melody and his voice just goes so well together that it makes the song very pleasurable to hear. The guitar at the sound just gives that dramatic effect as Pdogg wanted. The humming which was supposedly as a mistake as told by the producers of My time, just ended up fitted so well at the song. The adlibs and background vocals are so clear and beautiful and Jungkook's voice = heaven anyways. The softness in his voice is just so blissful, that I can't stop listening to the song.

"Still With You" is an unofficial song by Jungkook. The song was released on June 5, 2020 as part of the 2020 BTS Festa.

This is an self composed and produced song by Jungkook to express his thankfulness to army. The song talks about missing someone and wanting to stay with them whatever it takes.

LYRICANALYSIS.

"That faint voice of yours that grazed me

Please call my name one more time"

This song is written in the times of lockdown when bts weren't able to perform infront of their fans, and Jungkook really misses the cheers from army, it motivated him, and he wants to hear it one more time.

"I’m standing still under the frozen light, but

I will walk towards you, step by step

Still with you"

Everything seemed to have stopped from the spread of corona virus, and Jungkook isn't able to perform although he will still try to meet his fans making small actions, staying with them.

"A pitch dark room

I shouldn’t get used to it

But I’m used to it again

The low-pitched sound of the air conditioner

If I don’t have this, I might just fall apart"

The song is actually written in the same pitch dark room as told by Jungkook in a v-live. Jungkook isn't surrounded by the beautiful army bombs but darkness of having nothing around him. He shouldn't be getting used to this darkness but still, he has to. There is no other way. The only sound is the air condition in his room and it is keeping him sane by protecting him from the deafening silence.

"We laugh together, we cry together

These simple feelings were everything I had

When will it be?

If I see you again

I will look into your eyes

And say, "I missed you"

Army and bts are connected deeply with each other by some few simple feelings like happiness, sadness, respect, love and many more, which are complex in itself. He is asking that now when will he be able to meet army in person. He hopes when he will see us again, he would look us, army in eyes and say– he missed us. I am not soft, you are.

"In a rapturous memory

The rain pours even when I dance alone

By the time this mist clears

He re the happy, exhilarating memory with the army, even when rain is pouring out, when it rains everyone starts to get locked in their homes.. even when he is dancing alone without cheers of army. When this rain stops, the corona virus ends, the first thing he will do is too come meet us, and want us to embrace him how he is.

how Jin said he was our moon, likewise they are all lonely ..they cry even when they have everything to be happy but not army, they miss us. He knows this corona virus will end someday but he still wants to be the star in our life who shines in our darkest days.

If jungkook knew this was going to happen, he would have ed more of our memories together.

Behind the faint smile that looked at me

I will draw a beautiful purple shade

Jungkook knows when his fans are suffering even tho they faintly smile at him. So he will make a way to connect to them. Purple. Yes, purple, their music. He will make them happy by his music.

"Though our footsteps may be out of step

Even tho we might be walking to a path leading us to nowhere. He would still walk with us, he will stay with us forever. Jungkook is with us.

MUSICALITY

Still with you is literally one of the most comforting song I have ever heard. Starting with the soothing sounds of rain, it feels like Jungkook is somewhere alone singing for us. Jungkook is such a great producer and composer. You can just feel it. He is such a great option for making a ballad. Songs produced by him always have this comforting and distinctive melody, they always hit at the right beat with his voice.The dramatic sound of that instrument (idk what is it called, sorry ksjs) is such a cherry on top. His vocals are so comforting and soothing in the song that you can basically sleep listening to it.

"Decalcomania" is an original song by Jungkook. The song was ed on Twitter on September 1, 2019 to celebrate Jungkook's 22nd birthday. Sadly, decalcomania files had been now deleted as told by Jungkook.

Decalcomania which means decorating techniques which are engraved into pottery and paintings etc, also called butterfly prints.

LYRICANALYSIS

When Jungkook watches his social persona smile at the screen, he feels like that person isn't him cause after everything, we would always see how perfect he is, and how good but only Jungkook can see the flaws and imperfections in himself.

Does his persona or us even know the existence of his self? Does he know how jungkook is like behind the camera? Or how is he looking right now? His persona wouldn't like him in this way, of course how would a perfect person like imperfections.

He wants to how his idol person manages it, he wanna know, how can he be perfect.

All his persona's achievements are so big, and so is the fame and since now Jungkook is set on being perfect, and he can't step out of this. He also wanna be like his social mask, painted same in the perfection and beauty.

Jungkook want to be the impression, the copy of his persona, the him who looks so perfect and beautiful so everyone will like him.

MUSICALITY

The soft piano plays in the background while the demo unveils heartbreaking lyrics and beautiful and soul-wrenching vocals, is what decalcomania. It's the story of everyone struggling with insecurities and painting themselves in a perfect mask, a maze which jungkook has composed so beautifully and artistically. The melody in itself reveals sad yet mysterious vibes. Decalcomania is just a demo but the beauty of the song has still captured hearts of many, let's hope one day we might actually get decalcomania.

Jungkook's lyrics have a heartbreaking feeling of love, attachment and distance. They are so beautifully written that you could feel it within. His lyrics just seem so sincere and from the heart. They scream the fact that they miss someone.

Jungkook's lyrics also shows ion which is an essence of his own personality. The ion to find the one he loves and not let them go, and stay with them together again for forever. Even tho they are far away, he will find a way through difficulties or just anything which could be judged as stubbornness sometimes.

Even tho he still finds some struggles to sort out his thoughts but always ends up making a whimsical world with his words. Keywords like stars, ocean, moon, picture more and more just increases the beauty while reading the lyrics and he is just so talented at it. His imagination makes powerful scenarios to suit the emotions.

Although Jungkook is usually seen writing ballads, but he had also wrote songs like No more dream and We are bulletproof pt.2 showing his versatility as an lyricist also he was just 15 at that time makes this fact more appreciable.

There is an interesting fact about these songs too if he is writing the lyrics in a way of talking to himself, he write them in a casual manner while if he is writing the lyrics meant for someone, like army he would write in formal language showing how respectful he is. This difference could be especially seen in My time and Still with you.

Jungkook had proven himself to be capable in producing distinctive and sophisticated beats which attract listeners. He was credited as the main producer of a song at the young age of 18, a very impressive fact of its own. He had been credited for three bts songs as the main producer which are outro: love is not over, magic shop and still with you.

There is this quality in Jungkook's production that they are really comforting and soothing to hear. He creates melody that goes well along with the vocals/rap and hits at the correct beat.

They also express emotions, as in outro : love is not over, the beats are slow and soft, soothing consisting of normal noises as of snapping fingers expressing the fading love which ends up vanishing in a moment. While in magic shop, the beats and melody themselves create a universe of their own as if a fairy tale, they just sound so whimsical.

Jungkook's talent is basically endless as he had came out to be a great music producer too in the following years.

So this is no wonder that Jungkook debuted as the main vocal of BTS but had rapped in their debut song – No more dream. Continuing to rap in more of their older songs like danger, we are bulletproof pt.2 and N.o. The versatility being an artist, Jungkook had it all.

Even tho being an shy person in general but while rapping, the confidence and charisma he is radiating is so hot :") ouch.

The flow and sharpness, and smoothness while he raps is so praiseable. Even with his soft breathy voice, he sounds just so rapper-like in aura. There are just no mistakes and slip-ups in his case.

The clarity in his voice and words while rapping makes it more enticing and vibeful. Ddaeng rap, says yes.

It's just an incredible thrill to watch him as a rapper too. Covering other ' rap, just doing rap for fun, back stage, his own rap in the songs all are just totally awesome.

Jungkook's Vocals are perfect, end of discussion, mic drop.

lmao-..I was just kidding. These are some things I have researched about his voice from internet and here's what I have got to know.

Jungkook is a lyric tenor and thus comfortable with bts music which is written in such vocal range.Jungkook has his own style while singing, and is always adding his own touch to the songs.

Jungkook is always relaxed and had control over his voice while singing and so there are barely any strains or mishaps while he sings.

His vocals are breathy and smooth (like Butter).You might notice Jungkook sometimes uses more breathiness to depict sadness in a song. He can convey emotions very well in his voice and prefers to choose style over technique.

His falsettos are the best, and he can easily belt high notes which is an advantage being the main vocalist.

Jehoon, a very well known voice trainer in korea mentioned that Jungkook knows very well how to specify all the rhythms he sings , that is, he has a highly developed musical ear, adding precision and strength to all his tracks.

He is really versatile and can sing well in any vocal range, he also does these transitions without any break or pressure to his muscles which are difficult to do but he manages to do it flawlessly even while dancing showing how great of a singer he is.

His tone is really warm and peaceful, which makes the listener feel comforted as they hear him. Of course they do and listening jungkook is like a rollercoaster of emotions, he sounds so sincere and ionate while singing.

I am glad we are able to listen Jungkook sing cause that's heaven. His ad-libs even are a bliss to hear, I really hope we can listen him more and more.
