The Characters:

Jeong-yoon

The main character of Love On Hold. He is very friendly to everyone even his long-time crush around. People said he was a handsome guy, but also, he was a cute guy. He is tall but not too tall like his crush. I feel bad that he is not the most popular guy in high school or college. Not even a single girl asked him out. Since he entered college, the girls have fallen in love with him and how handsome and cute he was. He has a beautiful smile, and whenever he feels blushing, it's really cute. Jeong-Yoon is not the only child, and he has a wonderful, healthy family. He made a lot of friends during his high school years through college. He was thinking about having a girlfriend in the future, but he changed his mind about dating his handsome crush. Well, is he able to share his true feelings for his crush?

Chae-heon

Chae-heon is also our main character of Love On Hold. He also has a crush on Jeong-yoon, but he doesn't have a chance to tell him. He is taller than Chae-heon. He is super tall and a very handsome guy. He is the most popular guy because he treats everyone more friendly than Jeong-yoon. Chae-heon is not very good at conversations. His answers will be a few words and easily stop the conversation until it gets awkward. Chae-heon just dreams about becoming his mother but sadly, she es away. Now, he is living with his father and his new mom, including his cousin. The wife really dislikes Chae-heon probably because he has strange vibes. This is not true at all, Chae-heon is a really calm and good person. The weird part of Chae-heon's new family is that his cousin falls in love with him. Well, Chae-heon stops being cold toward Jeong-yoon?

Mihee

This is Mihee, the prettiest and most popular girl Jeong-Yoon's friend. I have to say I really love her a lot because she really does like any cute guy, but also she was trying her best to pick the right guy. She really hates a guy who keeps texting her a lot or ignores her messages. I can understand her pain, I know some guys are not that. Other guys are like that because they really care about dating a good-looking person. She is really close to Jeong-yoon because he is the most comfortable person to hang out with. I'm glad she picked Jeong-yoon as his real friend. She always talks to him whenever she feels upset or angry. I'm mad that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her with a different person. It's true she doesn't cheat, she does text back and has a good personality. I'm not sure why people cheat on her, but probably she is not good enough. I feel bad for her. I hope she finds a better boyfriend in the future.

Minsu

This is Minsu, Jeong-Yoon's best friend. I really don't like Minsu at all. He is a very annoying person, in my own opinion. He does like to drink a lot of alcohol and get drunk. Even smoking some cigarettes. Minsu is a dumb person, but he does help Jeong-yoon with anything he needs. So it's a win-win. My part favorite part about Minsu is that he asks Jeong-yoon to help volunteer to pick apples, and he will give him the Shining Wind sword. Minsu and Jeong-yoon enjoy playing video games tho. I don't understand what kind of best friend likes to touch his best friend or get super close to their faces. I think Minsu is part of the real personality that I think he really fits in. I wish Minsu would be worrying more about Jeong-yoon's lifestyle, but then again, it's not a good idea. He probably will make fun of him for being gay and not having a real girlfriend. Don't worry Minsu still doesn't know about Jeong-yoon's relationship with Chae-heon.

The Story

Have you ever dreamed about kissing your crush in your dreams? Our main character Jeong-yoon, has dreams about kissing his long-time crush Chae-heon. I didn't expect the first chapters to be about a dream about kissing your long-time crush. Jeong-yoon doesn't know if this dream is real or fake. What will happen if the dream really is real? Anyway, he just woke up from this strange dream while lying on the couch. Right now, he was feeling hungry, but Minsu just made fun of him for being an abandoned poor puppy. That's really rude, tho. The rest of Chapter 1 is about Jeong-yoon thinking about his crush, Chae-heon. They went to the same school and the same class for 3 years. Of course, Chae-heon is the center of attention in high school. With a handsome face, he getting more popular than ever. Even with his height, he really stands out a lot. After staring a good look at your crush, he gives you a cold stare? Ouch, that is really cold of him! I know what you are even thinking: does Chae-heon really hate Jeong-yoon? We don't know just yet. So far, the first chapter is my favorite, but it does get awkward for Jeong-yoon and Chae-heon. What is so awkward about the main characters? There is a lack of communication, I guess.

Wow, I didn't also expect Chae-heon to smoke a real cigarette! Probably, he is feeling stressed. So far, the flashback shows Chae-heon smiling at Jeong-yoon for no reason. Huh, that's odd. Chae-heon has stopped talking to Jeong-yoon since college. Back in high school, they were both love to chat a lot. So what's going on here? When you read the rest of the chapters 4 to chapter 6, you will notice a new change. Yes, Chae-heon's ear is turning red. So cute! Did Jeong-yoon finally have a chance to tell Chae-heon that he loves him? No, not yet. But he did at least tell Jeong-yoon that he likes when someone touches him. Nothing wrong with going out drinking with friends even your crush. After drinking, Chae-heon asks Jeong-yoon if it's ok for him to take him home. Omg, this is amazing! Keep up Chae-heon! The conversation is getting somewhere. Now Chae-heon is getting more confident in chatting with Jeong-Yoon. It's great to know more about Chae-heon's personal life that Jeong-yoon just learned about him. Jeong-Yoon is really worried that Chae-heon has a girlfriend. To be fair, you never know the truth if you talk about it in front of your crush. One reason Jeong-yoon won't talk about it, he will get embarrassed.

Another reason is that he is scared that Chae-heon won't like him. I'm glad Jeong-yoon was able to do something of his own dreams. Like going to the army. The more you continue this manhwa getting better the two main characters. In Chapter 10, Jeong-yoon suddenly got hit by a ball on his own face. Yeah, that really hurts. Here comes the prince save the day! Jeong-Yoon finally started blushing when Chae-heon placed his hand on his beautiful face. This made Jeong-yoon's heartbeat go fast. He hates being cute lol. More flashbacks in Chapters 11 to 13, Jeong-yoon re more about Chae-heon's personality. The same as always, but Jeong-yoon got drunk that day. Jeong-yoon didn't expect Chae-heon to kiss him. This doesn't bother Jeong-yoon at all because he really does love Chae-heon so much that he kisses him back. How do you ever help your crush when he gets drunk? Jeong-Yoon is trying his best to get Chae-heon home safely. But now your crush will never go of you. Don't worry Jeong-yoon did let his drunk crush sleep peacefully In his own home. Even more crazy, Chae-heon gets jealous of Jeong-yoon because he sees he is with a girl. We finally get a chance to see more of Jeong-yoon and Chae-heon hanging out together as friends. (You can skip Chapters 26 to 27, they are love mating).

Love can be hard for anybody. Jeong-Yoon finally tells Chae-heon how he feels. His feelings are very important to Chae-heon. Now, Chae-heon feels his pain and suffers the same way as Jeong-yoon did. Holding his love, like his own heart finally gets hit by an arrow and explodes into pieces. I'm glad everything goes well with Jeong-yoon and Chae-heon. They both started dating by going out to watch a movie. Including Jeong-yoon's friend Mihee with her new boyfriend. (You can skip Chapters 36 to 38. They are so romantic). Love is on air, and going out to eat with your boyfriend is the best day of Jeong-yoon's life. More excited, they went to Jeju Island together. There is more love mating and so much love! Chae-heon childhood is very sad and dark for the rest of the chapters. I can understand that Chae-heon's father doesn't like his mom a lot. They don't even live together. A lot of parents have their own reasons for spreading their own family to a different family.

Sadly, Chae-heon's mother ed away, and he gave all his love to his real mother. It's heartbreaking for a son to try his best to help his real mother really love him like a real son. Suddenly, Chae-heon found out that he had fallen in love with Jeong-Yoon in the first place. He was holding his own love for Jeong-yoon until he found out the real truth that they both love each other so much. The messed up part about their relationship is that Jeong-yoon was mistaken for Chae-heon's first kiss. Is the dream that Jeong-yoon dreams about is fake? No, it's real. Then they started to love mating again, lol. Do you think taking pictures of your partner is creepy? Maybe or maybe not. Jeong-yoon didn't also expect his boyfriend to take a lot of pictures of him. He finds out creepy, but since they were dating, he is fine with it. Chae-heon takes a lot of cute pictures of Jeong-yoon. We finally see Jeong-yoon and Chae-heon are in love in pretty much all the chapters.

Overall

I do recommend reading this manhwa if you are interested in learning about the main character's point of view. Love is not easy at first, but we learn love can help others heal by pouring all their love out for their crush. Telling the truth is the best way to find a lover who knows the truth. Love on hold is another level of a real relationship problem, I will say. My favorite part about love on hold is that they add a side story. What is a side story? According to Google, it means "a secondary narrative that s the main plot of a story". Extra sense is added to the main story that is really meant. Side stories sometimes need to spread from the main story. They will add the side story only on the side story. This helps most people not to get confused, but the artist decided to add to the main story to keep the original story ongoing. The fans won't worry about the ending. Fans are very serious about reading their favorite manhwa. You already know we, the fans, hate our favorite manhwa come to the end of the story. We really want more about our favorite characters. More moments about them. Nothing wrong with it at all. I love the main story and the side story so far. The side story is really cute. Chae-heon is Jealous of Jeong-yoon for having a crush on his favorite famous celebrity. So it is really cute that he teases Jeong-Yoon about it. But Jeong-yoon was like, no, you're my boyfriend now, so don't worry about it, lol.
