You Just Can’t Enjoy Your Favorite Anime :no_pedestrians: :tv:

Now this blog is not to rant or start a war, but we all know some anime fans have strong opinions regarding their favorite anime. I love anime like Boruto & #BlackClover and those are two anime series that get a lot of backlash by anime fans of the community. It’s officially been a year now since I’ve became an anime fan and there are some things I’ve picked up on when it comes to being a part of the fandom…

Everyone is entitled to their opinion rather you like it or not but it’s like you can’t love any anime that doesn’t fit their guidelines of a “good anime”. Anime like Black clover for example, are seen as just as a “typical Shonen” with average plot. After indulging into the black clover series, I could see from my view that there is so much more to offer than just a basic Shonen plot. One of the things along with adventure that I love about anime is humor & Black Clover gives a lot of It! You don’t have to like Black Clover or Boruto but I kinda feel awkward bringing the two up because I know people won’t agree with my conversation. Even though the creators put so much effort into both, the fandom has a set of rules for what can labeled as a good anime and if you like an anime series that doesn’t fit the code? You just might be outcasted next…

Now not EVERY anime fan is the same & it’s unfair to label them as a whole because I have so many friends who are fans of anime that are good people. Even other people who I don’t know that well are healthy fans who don’t go crazy about their favorite anime’s & disrespect others. Which leads me to this next topic…The FANDOM PANDEMONIUM. I’m sure we can all think of a few Fanbases that push the borders of toxic every single time they are in a conversation regarding anime.

Let’s just say if you are an anime fan, you know what I’m getting at. It’s okay to love your favorite anime & your enthusiasm means a lot to the creators & people who keep it alive. It’s just crazy how far some fandoms will go to shove in your face why they are the best & how things should go exactly to their predictions. There is definitely truth behind getting engulfed by your obsessions to the point you lose all sense of morality & dignity. It’s almost like a gang initiation each time you try to a fandom, they jump you if you say anything incorrect or have limited knowledge of the anime series at hand lol. Some fans of course. I try to not let that bother me though & there are so many way to navigate around it. But honestly sometimes I don’t even want to mention what anime I like due to what others my pile on my head about on why I shouldn’t like it. Not a fan of the fan wars 🗡🤷.

A Bad & Unfair Reputation/ Stereotypes By People Outside The Community :put_litter_in_its_place:

I feel this is true after making my way around the community. Anime as a whole is still not 100% accepted by people outside the community and I’ve seen so much disregard & disrespect to Japan :jp: because of it. It always makes me feel uneasy when I see or hear people trashing anime & the fans as a whole because I feel it’s a huge disrespect to Japan. Japan is somewhere I wish to go somebody lol & not just because I like anime. I just feel they are so advanced & intelligent is many ways that we cannot comprehend yet. Such a treasured country. No country is without flaws though & I understand. Just like no human is without flaws. But Again, people are certainly entitled to how they feel & their opinions.

Some feel that anime is a waste of time & only for nerds & I feel that couldn’t be far from the truth. Also, it just gives naysayers ammunition to hate on anime fans when fans give them reason. Like the crazy attacks, death threats & simping that goes to all time extremes! I know not every fan is like this but a majority partake in it and it’s just become a normalized behavior. I’ll never forget how #AttackOnTitan ‘s creator “Hajime Isayama” had his life threatened due to how he chose to end HIS series. When things like that happen more than once in the anime community, it just makes us as a whole look bad. You should care about what people think but it kinda stings to be labeled something as a whole when only some partake in the crazy antics. As long as you are a true honest to heart fan who doesn’t feed into the toxicity of mostly trolls, you’re good to go!

I Hate Your Talents & Your Love For The Culture🖼 :microphone: :dress: :necktie:

This topic I can relate to a lot just by being on Anime Amino for a year now. There are so many talented anime fans that I love to see each time they put something out for the world to see. We know that their are anime fans who can draw just as good as animators & creators and have made the coolest fan art. We also know that their are people who are trying to pursue voice acting so they can one day be in an anime or even their favorites. They have their dreams shat upon daily & we all know cosplayers get hated on if they look too cool or just hated for looking “weird” by people outside the fandom.

To that I say, who cares :joy: 🤷. There is so much hate when it comes to everything nowadays and I will continue showing appreciation & respect to those who put effort into what they are ionate about. We watch anime all the time with main characters who have heart & good morals and sadly that doesn’t encourage some fans to do the same. Hate is more fun. It takes commitment behind whatever you try to do & the work can be hard to make look good. This was just a quick topic to highlight the artists, cosplayers & future voice actors out their who are extremely talented & deserve the appreciation :clap: 🏻. Don’t let them, Ruin YOU 🫵

As the anime fan population increases, you can’t expect every apple in the bunch to be a good one. You have to take the good with the bad and expect it every time. What I learned from creating this blog is as long as you stick to what you love without fear of others, you will be happy. Just enjoy whatever anime you like & ignore anyone who disagrees. It’s your life & your time that you have every right to enjoy🤷.

It’s hard to navigate around the anime community but the good thing is that their are many people are are genuine fans of anime. You can make lots of good friends and find people who share your interests. The only thing you have to do is not let others ruin your joy. We all ed the anime community because we love anime and it never has to be toxic or full of hatred. We can break down the stereotypes they placed on us and just be happy. I hope that everyone enjoys what they love. :fire:
