I first heard the story of Icarus and Daedalus when I was a little girl. My brother and I checked out a book from the library about mythology and loved reading it together. So I thought I’d do a little snippets about Icarus for #TeamTrials
——🜁——The Story of Icarus ——🜁——
In Greek mythology a man named Daedalus built a labyrinth for King Minos to imprison the Minotaur. However due to committing crimes against the king, he was imprisoned in this labyrinth with his son Icarus. In order to escape Daedalus fashioned wings made of wax for himself and for Icarus so they could escape by flying out and over the sea.
Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too close to the water because the humidity will clog up his wax wings. He also warned his son not to fly too close to the sun because the heat will melt the wax.
Icarus did not heed his father’s warning and with his new found freedom he began to fly too close to the sun. Soon, the wax was melted by the sun’s heat and Icarus fell to his death into the sea.

The lesson this myth teaches to air signs is that going against your common sense and reason will usually produce disastrous results. In the case of Icarus, he followed his desires instead of his reason and that resulted in his death.
If you are an air sign that while new ideas and creations are wonderful, you must remain grounded in your reality. New goals you have in your life come with very hard work which takes time. Please to take care of yourself, both your mind and heart. Finding a balance would be paramount in your success or failure.
Thank you for reading.
