You can incorporate air into your practise with these items on your altar:
- bells
- your athame
- aromatic herbs or plants
- things related to birds
- incense
- your wand
- pastel colours such as pale yellow, blue, or gray
- you can even put wind instruments or reeds on your altar
🌬 Tarot 🌬
You use air symbolism when working with tarot cards. The suit of swords is the representation for the element of air, this suit focuses on the actions that you may need to take or stop doing in a situation.

🌬 types of air for Magick 🌬
Cold - there are multiple symbolisms for this type of air. It can be a wake up call physically and mentally, and it can be used to slow things down, or help someone ‘chill’ out. Haha get it?
Calm - calm air is very soothing it can help settle your soul. Calm air has healing properties, try meditating when the air is calm and you feel stressed
Damp - damps airs and winds can be incorporated into weather Magick or other types of magic because damp air is nourishing, it brings rain
Stormy - these stormy days can be used best for banishing magic, since it’s such inclement weather.
Crosswind - a cross wind is like a crossroad, it goes in multiple directions and can be used for spells when you need to send something into the world, banish something and such
Gust - a gust of wind is usually short yet powerful. It can be used to give your magic a kick-start. It can also ‘blow away’ things that trouble you
Tail wind - this is the wind that moves behind you. These winds are used for sailing and make it easier. If you want positive change, put your back to the wind and release your spell, it moves you forward.
Warm - ah, yes my one of my favorites. Warm air is gentle, kind, and comforting to the heart. Send some good vibes to someone on a warm wind.
🌬 Everybody Uses it 🌬
Everybody uses air. If you’re a witch, chances are you have some plants. Air is what gives your plant children their breath of life, and in turn give you what you need for your work. We breath air obviously, as well as our animals. You may also be using the air element in your craft through your crystals. Some crystals represent the element of air and it’s properties, along with some plants too. Some smells are linked to the air element too.

🌬 Divination 🌬
A kind of divination that uses air is called aeromancy. Aeromancy is the term people use for observing air omens and signs. This method of divination includes the colour, direction, and shape of clouds. Changes in the direction or behaviour of the wind.
For example, sound. Winds that arrive from East and South Barr good news, and a positive sign of good things. when you used to spit shapes in the clouds as a kid? That can be used too. In ancient time people did this and had specific interpretations for specific clouds. Look up some cloud interpretations and meanings.

This is very informative. For years, I've created my circle by calling to the four Winds. Then I ground myself to earth and the sun. I don't use candles or any other material to represent the Winds as they are air. Therefore I can create a circle anywhere and place. My link to the four Winds is strong. Until I read this post, I never really understood it. Thanks!!
This is such a great post!!! I love it!!! Horray #AffectionateAir
