Woooooo this is about to be a fire ass blog 🤣 :fire: . My reaction to this anime series was most likely similar to everyone else. I. WAS. STUNNED. I had already liked the art style right off the bat because I feel like it makes an anime more iconic to & stand out when they can’t be compared to other anime. Obviously it will be compared to #Onepunchman 🥊 but you can see so many obvious differences between the two. Shigeo Kageyama but nicknamed “Mob” is so relatable and just like any other kid his age. Is what I thought at first until I saw what the kid could actually do. Now there are many anime out there that have main characters who get or are born with special powers which make T them hero’s in the end but…Shigeo was different.

I mean he appears normal & regular when it comes to his looks & personality. I can name over like 20 people I’ve met from school who have the same personality as Shigeo. It’s just average. So what makes him different from any ole main character to me? It’s the fact that his regularity is CONSISTENT throughout the whole series. Mob’s real personality calm always which is the irony that conflicts with his inner esper rage that he suppresses. I just think he’s so unique for being one of the few MC’s that doesn’t have to be overly dramatic, scream or yell to get his point across or keep us entertained. Mob is just that regular, that it works! I knew because of that, that this series would be a SMASHHH to me and I love the fact that psychic power is incorporated in it. The animation is a whole other conversation that I don’t think fans are even prepared to have. Every single fight/action scene in this anime is incredible and well drawn. I couldn’t believe the budget they had for it & how they used the budget per episode perfectly.✍ :yen: The characters & theme all wrapped in one makes for a masterpiece to me & it’s making me build up inside. :boom: Plus who doesn’t love seeing demons get exorcised?

So you’re probably wondering just what do I mean by us fans relating to this series? Such a weird title… Mob deals with something that we all deal with metaphorically somehow in our lives constantly. Our inner demons. Characters like Naruto, Ken Kaneki, Yuji Itadori, etc all have had their demons as well displayed in anime but Mob is different. I feel Mob’s ability to try & suppress his hidden darkness comes off more authentic then any other main character. I just feel him trying to be a better person & trying to live a normal life. And because he’s so naive & kind, it just makes you sympathize with him more. MOB THE KINDRED SPIRIT. I love how this series does a good job letting us know that it’s always a challenge to face the demons inside you & sometimes you might just spiral :cyclone: outta control.

Mob being blinded by sheer evil that he never wished to let out. Never wished to be made public. Sometimes when you lose control so much, you don’t even have control over your own damn actions. You act on impulse & no thought. Completely BLACKED. I feel it’s so important that they highlighted this in the series and it made me love it even more. Rather you look like Mob or not, you can probably relate to him in this aspect in some point in your life. Mob let’s his rage & emotions build up until he sometimes explodes it all out and has to face the consequences of his suppression. The build up progresses…

Continuing on to manipulations, sadly our boy Mob has feel victim to many manipulations in the series and that’s mostly the plot. Mob like many is very loving, gullible & naive to those who claim to have his best interests at heart. Does that make you think of a few people who’ve done that to you? Same. Mob’s nature is what leads to so many downfalls in life during the series and I feel that it’s so vital to discuss. #Dimple are the two biggest manipulators in the mob psycho series and they are two individuals that Mob kept close. Ouch 🤕

Now don’t get me wrong, Reigen is in my top 5 favorite characters in this series but he’s definitely fighting dimple for that top spot of most toxic character. He’s hilarious & his comic humor followed by exaggerated expressions make for an awesome character to watch. Reigen being Mob’s so called “Master” & boss is one who uses Mob’s power for his own, without having any for himself(But claims he is also an esper like mob :joy: ). Reigen & Mob have a relationship that most of us know all too well in real life. Manipulators & how they flock to those with good hearts & intentions. Reigen gives mob great advice at times & can be truly cool when he’s not lying. I just feel like adding a character like Reigen filled out the dynamic of the series and made me want to root for Mob even more. Especially after being in his shoes before.

𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙡𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 & 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚…. 🦠 25.9 % 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙖𝙜𝙚’𝙨 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 :warning:

Dimple is a crazy ass character who was in the series first using & manipulating other for his own gain. Being exposed as an evil spirit, Dimple fights & clings to others to satisfy his own delusions of becoming a higher being. After some conflict, Mob as always gives gives dimple a chance & dimple decides to leach on Mob for awhile in the series. Eventually, acting on his true intentions after manipulating Mob like he planned to. Dimple uses Mob’s hype and gets power from a divine tree that was sourced from Mob’s power and uses it to “ascend to a higher being”. I obviously knew Dimple wouldn’t win in the end, but it’s so sick to see how he played Mob. Having two manipulators down your back while being a ticking time bomb inside….Still feel like you don’t relate to Mob? Get ready to explode…

𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓….59% ᴛᴏᴡᴀʀᴅs ᴀᴇʀᴏᴋᴀɢᴇ’s Exᴘʟᴏsɪᴏɴ :warning: :anger:

They say trust is a two way street, so just what side do you end up on when it comes to it? I always wanna be on the same page with people but getting backstabbed is all apart of life. Mob knows it all too well & the series highlights trust very boldly. Mob as I’ve stated is very gullible & naive and he never judges others right off the bat. Just look how he saw Reigen as sus but still didn’t question his intentions any further. Ultimately letting Reigen’s own guilt eat him up to the point of exposing himself. Mob is the main character that you hate to see use talking it out to solve his problems, but when he snaps it’s GAME OVER. I just like how Mob can eliminate any threat in his way but still takes awhile to build up confidence in himself & shows so many signs of insecurity. Yet, I’m glad he got to have some great people in his life :heavy_check_mark:

#Teru was hot headed & envious of Mob at first and that let to him & Mob duking it out and becoming friends because of it. Realizing they aren’t that different. Ritsu being the little brother of Mob & envying his powers to end up growing closer with his bro because of it, even unlocking his own :crystal_ball:

𝙀𝙣𝙫𝙮 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 60% 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙖𝙜𝙚’𝙨 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 :warning:

I’m pleased to see characters like these two because it shows that Mob actually has true people with good intentions that he values. People that will keep it real with him & aren’t too overly friendly. I’m especially a fan of how Ritsu treats his brother, he always defended him even when he was jealous 🤜🏻🤛🏻Brothers. Also a quick mention to the #bodyimprovementclub :muscle: 🏻 cause they were always loyal to Mob too. Funny as well lmao. Bomb incoming… :bomb:

𝐑𝐄𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍….80% ᴛᴏᴡᴀʀᴅs ᴀᴇʀᴏᴋᴀɢᴇ’s Exᴘʟᴏsɪᴏɴ :warning: :anger:

Rejection can turn your whole life around, it just depends on how you endure it. Mob always felt rejected by the world & others because his powers limited him to the experiences of youth & made him close up to joyous moments. Only caring about how others felt about him & not his own likes. Selfless to the core. I’ve definitely felt out of place during times in my life as well. The struggles of fitting in can take a toll on many & might just make you become desperate. I love how Mob’s journey to self love & confidence was a long one & wasn’t rushed in the series.

When it comes to rejection by someone you want to accept you, it just comes with a different type of feeling. #Tsubomi was the girl of Mob’s dreams & deepest feelings and even when he couldn’t have her right away, just being in some part of her world was enough for him. All that emotion & feeling of uncertainty caused Mob to explode many times in the series and it’s just top tier writing. Mob goes through life with what he deems as a burden on his back & still tries his to do all he can to be happy. What a masterpiece. The best moral of them all. BOOM :fire:

AEROKAGE 100% :fire: :anger: :fire: :fire: :fire: :fire: 🤯🤯 and I’d like to conclude this blog by saying how enthused I was to watch this series & get to finally create a blog on the iconic piece. I would recommend this anime to anyone who wants a dope action series with funny characters and top tier fight scenes. I also stand behind my title of this blog 100% because I feel it’s a true statement. You don’t have to look like the characters or maybe think like they all the way to relate to the emotions & situations in this anime series. It’s just that good. Definitely at 10/10 series for me & I wish it was longer than the few seasons.

Nevertheless, it’s deserving of five stars across the board & definitely has better scenes than One Punch man to me :boom: The more anime I watch, the more I learn and become inspired to share. Might have to cop some Mob Psycho merch too. Please if you haven’t seen it or really given it an in-depth watch, take time & do that. Don’t be psycho 🧠
